Marlies are back on February 15th. So a week behind everyone else.

I wonder if we Sandin get sent down now. If Keefe is not going back to the 7D look, it doesn't seem like he is getting much ice time any time soon, and he should be on the Marlies playing every day if he has the chance.

Marincin or Rosen can be our taxi squad guy in the meantime.

I'd say it's nearly 100% that Sandin/Lily will both go to the Marlies. That being said I imagine that they'd bring one of them up for road trips out west as insurance.

My guess is they want them playing regularly but also want to ensure they're available in case of injury.

My hope is that Marincin doesn't get into the lineup

I still don't understand the hate on Marincin. If he gets into a game or two, we are not going to lose. He's capable enough to be a depth filler, he's very good in his own end and on the PK, and can even handle more than that but we would never need him to. He just can't do offense for his life, which is fine.

If it is anything major (i.e. multiple weeks), we can call up Sandin or Liljegren to fill in without issue (or we can just put in our #7).

This is only including the guys who have started so far.

You sir are a legend. Thank you for the breakdown

Would be fun to see Liljegren get a game in before the organization sends him down to the Marlies. I'm just glad that him and Sandin are finally going to be getting some minutes logged.
Throw them in as the 3rd pair against Ottawa and let them fly. Give Bogo a rest after the two Montreal games.

I like this idea, if only to reward him for sticking around North America and trying to work on his game instead of asking to go to Europe.
Similar to Robertson, I like the idea of guys wanting to be here and working their butts of in training to prove they want this.

Hopefully from a guy like Liljgren we see a slight step forward in his strength and comfort level in the NHL. He has had a ton of time to workout, watch game film and pick the teams brain about what he needs to be doing differently at the NHL level.

Is there a projected lineup for the upcoming season posted anywhere?
There are few players that have me intrigued.

I think Kral is going to surprise some people. I think he has bottom 6 NHL potential.

Are you confusing Kral with forward? Just wasn't sure given wording. Ie bottom six rather than bottom pairing...

Where will Marlies play home games this season? Were they authorized to play in Toronto?

At this rate, they won't play home games. Not that big of a deal.

This season doesn't even have a Calder Cup. It's just for pride and development mostly.

This applies to both the prospects and Greg Moore.

Greg Moore has to be significantly better than he was last year. I think he had like a .250 win percentage last year or something like that.
Yeah, they probably shouldn't have given him another chance. If he bombs out early that feels like a waste of a season. The Marlies can spend money there is no reason for them to struggle against low income teams.

I agree, I think timmy deserves a game. Guy has never complained, just gone about his business, getting better every year. And the year he finally looks ready, he is ironically boxed out at RD. Hopefully we can get him an sandy in for a game against the Sens as a reward for all their hard work and good attitudes

McMann has also been called up from Wichita. Looks like they are only going to keep Hoefenmayer down there, which is for the best. He needs a full year in the ECHL before getting considered for the Marlies, and we already have a similar project in McCourt on the Marlies right now.

McMann will have a good shot at a top 12 spot on the Marlies this year.

I constantly forget they signed McCourt.
