Sorry guys, I’m going to have to chalk up another “L” for Doobler and his handling of the top prospects, by not sending them to Europe when he had the chance.

If you think he was the best player in college hockey than by all means vote for him but I don’t think ppl should vote for him just because he’s a leaf prospect. The Hobey Baker is a prestigious award and an important part of hockey history and I’d like to continue seeing it go to the player who deserves it.

They really shouldn't make voting public....although i doubt this public vote fully determines who wins it. I do want to see the results however.

Veeti has 5.3%! He is in 3rd place o.o.

Caufield has 15.5 and Jack LaFontaine has 9.2%.

When you finish voting, theres a blurb about qualities that you, a voter, should keep in mind and I repeat, AFTER you vote.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the public vote counts as one of the overall votes. I don't think it's handed out by fans' choice, if it was then you'd see some pretty ridiculous wins and rarely see a guy who wasn't drafted or about to use the NCAA loophole.

Our province really has to feel the need to bubble wrap every one of us. I digress as I don’t want to get political here, and maybe my own selfish desires to watch some Marlies hockey makes me think the decision to postpone games sucks.

Plus, and probably mainly, I’m starting to worry about Sandin and Lilly not playing for over a calendar year in a crucial year for them to develop. Any other normal year and they’d have 30-40 games or so played by this point, at around 25 minutes a night, with hopefully both playing AHL all star calibre defense :(

SHL teams weren't accepting temporary loans so not sure what he was supposed to do. In other leagues, Sandin and Lilly would better then their competition so chance for stagnation.
At this point, anyone saying nick names has no valid point so best to ignore.

Do you know how to read? They weren't banned from playing this season. Just no decision yet. They will find another place if not in Toronto.

I do know how to read, thanks for asking. Where did you read that they would be banned from playing this season? Because I certainly didn’t type that.

It is February 5th. Other AHL teams have already played their regular season openers. Marlies still have no certain home and no preseason games played as of yet.

Belleville had their roster added to the AHL website, which likely means it is not that far off. Marlies are going to be directly tied to them.

I think they were accepting temporary loans. Or perhaps depends on the team.

But for example Joakim Nygard was loaned temporarily. Dadvidsson on temporary loan.
