This is Liljegren’s 4th year and yet the organization has never given him a real shot
I don’t think they value him that highly and my guess is that they think he has physical tools but lacks vision and instincts.
Might want to hear what Dubas said about him, and Keefe as well. Bob also said Leafs value him highly. The vision and instints part is completely untrue. My guess is because Leafs have had no injuries. Also if Sandin was healthy, he wouldn't be playing either

FreeBird has really lost his fastball. You can tell no one cares anymore and his existence as a person that signs on to a burner account to try to get a reaction has started to take a toll on his mental health.

You used to bring more heat than this. Let me know if you need someone to talk to. I'm available in my PMs.
Not just freebird, some other fans just don't pay attention to the Marlies either and don't know much about prospects.

This is so true. The gap is small between these two. Some are just judging because he hasn't made the NHL yet, he isn't good and have unreasonable assumptions about his IQ

Or they have no clue and rely on Hayes....or have no idea what they are watching.

For me the weird one is that people who do watch prospects still seem to write Liljegren off despite him getting better each season and having gaudy historical comparisons.

Even without the comparisons or stats. If you simply watch the guy play for a period you can see the guy is the clear best player in every game.

The guys that preach "eye test" are so clearly the ones not watching the games lmao

Fool me once, shame on you, (crowning him a top 2 pick going into his draft year)
Fool me twice, shame one me, (letting him fall for a season that was clearly impacted by Mono)
Fool me thrice, shame on him, (crowning him a steal for his 19 WJC and AHL performance)
The real Lilly - the guy that gotten written off for missing the WJC due to injury, and not progressing offensively in the A his U20

Having yo-yo'd 4 times in two seasons no one with "credibility" has been willing to go out on a limb and reverse the narrative *again* so his excellent U21 and U22 AHL performance is disregarded and his U21 NHL audition is seen as "proof" that "the real Lilly" is in fact real.

I don’t disagree.
Lily looks really good to me.
I’m just speculating about why this organization has not given him a real shot especially the last 2.seasons.
