Hated that Marchment for Malgin deal. Malgin doesn’t bring anything if he isn’t scoring. Marchment brings more and points.
This year in the NLA is seemingly having the desired effect for him: improved offensive confidence.

I'm curious to see where he's at when he comes back next year.

... and if he doesn't want to come back to Toronto, he should be movable since he is profiling how many Top Euro FA's would this year in the NLA.

Hope you’re right just didn’t like his game with the Leafs at all.

Marchment's skating isn't NHL calibre and still isn't. Malgin is at the very least an NHL player with more upside.

3 points 4 games seems to be doing something better than 6th best league in the world
It's 4 games, and Malgin's issue was confidence, and if thats cleared which looks like it has, good chance he is a top 9 player. I'll like that over a 4th line depth player who provides nothing but occasional fights.
Anyways not a trade to complain about. If Marchment wasn't big, no one would pay attention

You’re being a little ignorant but that’s okay normally I like your posts. Malgin didn’t bring an ounce of skill for his tiny stature. We had more of the same in Petan who is better. If Malgin proves me wrong that’s great but Marchment is proving to be more than you’re making him out to be and if you can’t see it. I’ll take the W

Not great. Only has one point (a goal) in 9 games and he has not looked overly comfortable in many games. Not necessarily terrible, but just a guy who looks over his head right now in the top 6 and should probably be on a 4th line at best. The other AHL contract guys are not jumping off the page or look as good as our NHL prospects, but they at least look like they belong in a regular bottom 6 AHL role on a competitive team. Brazeau does not right now.

Probably the largest disappointment up front, but Hollowell has been the largest disappointment overall by far. Leafs should consider moving him at the TDL if teams want him.

His skating is still just not up to a pro level. Needs more time

If you don't think Malgin brings skill, then I think you're being biased. Marchment's skating and career doesn't prove this is him, but if you want to hype up a non NHL player, you can win but it's not reality.

Marchment wanted a chance at playing in the NHL and it wasn't going to happen under Babs' Leafs. Dubas might get hated for trading him but I think this was a deal more to give the player an opportunity to succeed instead of the team being selfish and hoarding players. I have no issues with it. It's not like we lost a superstar player. He's a heart and soul player and is having a fantastic season with the Cats right now. I think we should be happy for him.

He bring minimal skill didn’t prove anything with us. And has been a career .33 ppg player. Maybe he’s more than that. But at the moment Panthers fans will agree anarchy is an NHL and Malgins and undersized not skilled enough player. Reality hurts but she shows true

Yet you think Marchment is great based on a small sample size?
I’m saying I didn’t like the trade. You disagreed with my opinion I disagree with yours. Obviously it’s a small sample and I’ll give it time but Marchment brings more to the table while providing points (sample size yes).

His skill is top 9 quality. Seems like your judging based on a height scale for both players. Marchment isn't an NHL player based on 4 games. Thats the reality. If you think thats enough games, well then you might need to evaluate.

Like what aside from size and very little compete?
Anyways silly debate, most people are fine with the trade.

I have agreed 4 games is small. But I know what he brings and seems to fit in the NHL on the very successful panthers team 3rd line quite well so far. I hope he proves me right and Malgin proves me wrong.

I'm sure Dubas is happy with the trade.

I'm reading fine. I'm just going against your strange viewpoint. I'm sure Dubas is happy with the trade.
You have a different (albeit odd) viewpoint. We disagree that’s fine. I didn’t quote you first you did me. Good for Dubas? Lmao. I just stated I didn’t like it haha
