He was called up to practice with the taxi squad for the time being. He'll get his chance.

Amirov doesn't have an ELC so not likely unless he does. I would have said Korshkov but he got traded for Galchenyuk.

At this point, I don't think that Amirov has signed any contract with the Leafs org. Malgin and Hallander are also on loan from us, and could potentially come back at some point. I have no idea when their leagues finish though.

SDA is making his way to the Marlies as we speak. Amirov is up 3-1 in his series and could go on a long playoff run.

this is great news. can't wait to watch him play. I have only seen youtube highlights of his play. Looks like a very skilled player, and I recall from his first rookie camp that he has a great attitude. Can't say I have overly high hopes on SDA, but I think its more out of a lack of familiarity. Hopefully he can get some meaningful minutes with the Marlies so I can properly form an opinion
