I thought all the goal scorers stood out. Clifford is noticeable at the AHL level, he's a puck hound. Johnstone is starting to make a name for himself. While, McMann is obviously on the cusp of the NHL level. He almost had his 4th goal of the game on a shorthanded breakaway with 15 seconds left.

There is no chance McMann doesn't get another stint this year. He may not have put up points his first 8 games but he looked damn good to me.

Trade Kerfoot and Holl and get almost 5M to upgrade Holl's spot. We're talking about a fourth line wing spot, we have 4-5 guys that fit there better than Kerfoot

Depends on who he takes out. Maybe ZAR? Definitely next year though. This year it may be tough with Anderson already sitting unless they jettison Kerfoot for a D and open a spot up

Don't forget Knies played really well when he played for Team USA in the Olympics, I'm really hopeful Knies game will transition well when he plays in the NHL, maybe even this year!!!

Knies always comes up big when needed.
If he can't be in the Leafs line this season then lets hope he is next year. This is the kind of player that the Leafs have needed for a long time. A big player with skill that seems to be able to score when his team needs it most. Hard not to get hyped for Knies and want him playing with the Leafs ASAP. :)

Was around the player a lot last year, so a bit biased maybe, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Marlies scoop up Joe Carroll as a potential quasi-prospect option.

He turned Pro this season and his been productive with the Solar Bears, which caught the B-Sens eyes. He had 5 PTS in a 9 game AHL stint with them but has since returned to Orlando. He's outproducing some ELC signed Tampa prospects like Cajkovic, Dureau, and MacArthur down there (not a super high scoring team)

He had no NHL/AHL affiliation, so we can just give him an AHL deal to get him in with the Marlies/Growlers.

He has a lot of good offensive tools and plays with some jam. He straight up played in the OHL Playoffs with a broken hand last year for a bottom-feeder Petes teams against the Bulldogs and scored the first goal of Game 1.

Nonetheless, players like this are worth keeping an eye on if we aren't going to be making a lot of picks.

McMann - Holmberg - Anderson/Steeves seems like a ready-made fourth line for next season
No future top 6 guys on that line, but certainly I think we'll see at least two of these guys in the NHL over the next few years. We've really struggled to put together a competent 4th line for years, so hopefully cheap internal options are the answer.

2 goal game. Game tying goal with seconds left and then scores the game winner in OT.

From what little I see, and backed by what I read, Knies with Tavares and Marner with that line getting as many OZ face-offs as possible. Love ya, JT and Mitch, but with AM, DK, and now O'R and A, we have enough C presence in the defensive zone to protect Tavares's skating. Great Ozone presence, labors a bit with the need to skate 200 both ways. Knies is protected from having to learn the professional game in his own zone, and can contribute his talents in a way less likely to result in a goal against.
