Thanks.

Bad start to the year, maybe he was playing with whatever the injury/issue was?

I liked his game in preseason, but is he better than any of the existing 11 minute a game players?
He was hurt in preseason and missed time to start the AHL season. He is rounding into form nicely. He has size, jam, and a scoring touch.

He was one I wanted to see get some NHL time this year.

Getting long in the tooth, kind of like Bunting?
Yup, time to see what you have with this player. Sink or swim.

Could be a Marchment, v2.0

He isn't nearly as big, so likely not the same potential upside.
If we can find another Bunting/Hyman would be insane, but their skating is well above average.
I'd hope they have enough patience to let him get up to NHL speed, but they might need their goaltenders to play well.

My guess is he doesn't have Bunting's hands, but

Sorry, who isn't nearly as big?

McMann stood out the whole game when I last went to a Marlies game.

Good motor, finished his checks, could skate and score.

He’d be my next call up. Anderson has already had his chance.

McMann and or Steeves
I really want to see Steeves get a look. He's been impressive everytime I've seen him in the AHL.

Anderson is just too slow in my opinion. I'd like to see them move him in the same way they did Douglas and try to get someone back that another team is underrating (a la Timmins). I would have said someone like Bemstrom earlier but looks like he's found a place on the Jackets now.

Marlies win 4-2
Woll 56 saves. What a performance. He also sets a Marlies record for consecutive wins with 8 and as a result remains undefeated at 8-0 this season.
McMann 2 goals
Steeves goal and assist
Hollowell 2 assists
Abruzzese and Kokkonen each with an assist
Marlies were outshot 58-17 and gave up 28 shots in the third which Woll stopped all.

Is there a league between NHL and AHL?

Unbelievable

Our goaltending has gone from a black hole of ineptitude to an organizational strength in the space of a couple of seasons

We have 4 guys I'd be comfortable playing NHL games and a bunch of prospects behind them that actually look promising

Great work by the scouting staff and the front office
