Gaudette with a hatrick in the Marlies 5-2 win.

Petruzzelli coming up huge for the Marlies again.

That defense is not very good defensively, but man Hollowell and Hoefenmayer are both PPG and the guys do work hard. That defense is ECHL-level and they do not play like it, so good for Moore (so far) fixing that a little bit.

Thanks. I didn't watch it due to the conflict with the big club. I just followed on the app.

Petruzzelli might actually get an NHL contract now that Sammy went down as well with an apparent knee injury.

Could we sign him and call him up for tomorrow’s game or would he have to go through waivers?

We can sign him tomorrow and he shouldn't need waivers. We signed guys on AHL contracts mid-season before (Mason Marchment, Curtis Douglas, Bobby McMann), but none of them ended up playing in the same year they were signed.

We may need Petruzzelli up with the big club if Samsonov isn’t okay…

Credit to Moore. He's done a nice job. Some of it is Petruzelli but overall they have limited the shots. Marlies top line is dominating too

What's going on with our Finns... Seems like Hirvonen, Niemela and Kokkonen have taken a step back in their development.

Someone said that Niemela's team added some guys and he is now getting 2nd pair usage.

I asked Finn fans on the main board about Hirvonen and they said he's still playing well but his team is an offensive black hole. Their leading scorer has 9 pts in 20 games. He has 7.

Can't speak on Kokkonen since I haven't seen any Marlies games now that Leafstv is gone.

You can only blame Niemela’s lack of production on Rundblad so much. In the games I’ve watched, Niemela is still relied on in critical late game moments when Karpat’s down a goal, still used on special teams, etc.

Looks to me like a future #4D but his game has been pretty bland this year. Nothing jumps off the screen as a noticeable improvement from last.
