They did, but there were some players that looked good. Sat at the Glass with my son, and Niemela, although he is short, looks very good. Good skater and lots of poise, especially playing with Benn. Although Clifford took a few penalties, especially in the first, he actually looked good as well. Anyone who hasn't seen a Marlie game I would highly recommend it, a pair of seats at the glass will run you $138.00 but is well worth it
definitely a great thing we have in Toronto, being able to see our prospect grow in front of our eyes more so is also a beauty

Great story.

I wonder if there are some NHL markets where you can get a pair of tickets in that $138.00 range. Great deal in Toronto for pro hockey but MLSE is an absolute mint.

no one has mentioned Voit yet, but he has 10 points in 8 playoff games so far. Got 1+1 today in a 2-1W, they're up 2-0 in the 2nd round.

I'd rather see production than not but I think I am weary until we see them at the pro level.

Tverberg seemed interesting and then having gone pro, was hoping for a bit more since he joined but maybe next year.

Abrusezze has started to figure out things at the pro level and did actually put up 2 points in 2 games with the Leafs.

Voit is interesting though for sure.

Definitely.

His 81 assists are listed 15th in the OHL since the 05 lockout tied 12th My gut tells me he's either going to shine pretty quickly in his first year in the A and emerge as a legitimate B+/A- prospect or he's simply not going to translate to the pro level

I think he has a chance for sure, kinda hoping next year he gets selfish and shoots a lot. Become a viable scoring threat as an individual because we know his passing / vision are quite good.

Left the Jays game early as they were getting killed and it was quite the chore to get to CCC because the trolleys were all screwed up. Only ended up missing the first 3 minutes. Game was what my friends would call Hunters vs Seals, a complete one sided ass kicking.

I don’t recall reading about many of the college UFA’s signing…..maybe I missed it?
I only recal McAllister to FLA.

Did Livingstone sign?
Grom?

There's been quite a few, tbh!

Anton Malmstrom St. Louis Blues
Will Zmolek Philadelphia Flyers
Hunter McKown Columbus Blue Jackets
Carl Berglund Edmonton Oilers
Parker Ford Winnipeg Jets
Max Sasson Vancouver Canucks
Akito Hirose Vancouver Canucks
Jason Polin Colorado Avalanche
Jake Livingstone Nashville Predators
Sam Malinski Colorado Avalanche
Ondrej Pavel Colorado Avalanche
Aidan Fulp New York Islanders
Travis Mitchell New York Islanders
Ryan McAllister Florida Panthers
Cole McWard Vancouver Canucks
Yaniv Perets Carolina Hurricanes

And that's just for undrafted players. There are a couple of handy threads on the Trade and Free Agency Board if you have more interest!

Thanks for the tip and the summary!
I rarely vacation away from this board, but I may venture from time to time, thanks.
I liked Livingstone, McAllister and Grom the most from what I read and heard, so at least one is left.

It was a fairly weak UFA crop out of the NCAA this year.

Once/if Colin Graf signs, I think that is pretty much all of the higher end guys for this year. The rest are probably heading back to the NCAA or getting AHL deals at best.

Euro crop is also pretty bad but there is Pulli (rumoured to be signing with San Jose when his deal expires), Haman Aktell, and maybe a few others who can attract some attention. Outside of hunting for a few more AHL contracts out of the NCAA and CHL, I doubt the Leafs get involved this year.

Ethan De Jong out of Quinnipiac wouldn't be a bad target for an AHL deal. Arguably the top guy out of the NCAA at this point (who would likely be willing to take an AHL deal and whose rights were not owned by another team like Tychonick's).

Kind of dissapointed with Hildabeast's numbers with the Marlies. Only 2 games, hopefully he finds it.

Don't forget he's switching from the EU ice rinks. For my money it's harder for goalies to make the switch because of the angle changes and different styles of play. A full off-season preparing for the AHL will do him good.

It's a team that's won very few games and got stripped of a lot of good players, Hildabeast will be evaluated more fairly next year.

It could be 2-3 years before you see results, similar to Woll.
