Will Holmberg be joining the Marlies for their playoff run?
Would Kokkonen be on Finlands mind for the Worlds? I would love to see him there, think it would really open up some minds on him.No news on that so far. Same for Kokkonen, Hirvonen and Niemela.
They might be vying for the World Championships first.

100 points is not at all out of the realm of possibility for Ty next year.Voit beats up on Saginaw with a 4 point night (2+2) in a must win for Sarnia. They sit one point up on Erie, each with one game remaining.
(Both fan bases would rather lose for draft positioning, either team is almost certainly going to get chewed up by WIndsor)
26 goal, 80 point U19 year. Looking back at past Leaf picks that essentially matches 2nd rounder Bracco and (slightly) exceeds 6th round steal Brown.
And a spot on the US WJC team.100 points is not at all out of the realm of possibility for Ty next year.
The good thing is Voit doesn't have the weaknesses Bracco did. He's a better defensive player and more of a scoring threat. Compete is much better too.Voit beats up on Saginaw with a 4 point night (2+2) in a must win for Sarnia. They sit one point up on Erie, each with one game remaining.

Maybe... I just get tired of hearing it in every post. The Leafs clearly have a different opinion of the player. He's right though. Kivihalme isn't very good and shouldn't be playing a permanent role.
Moore hasn't given any indication that he is good at player evaluation, so if he plays him a lot it's not a positive for the player.Maybe... I just get tired of hearing it in every post. The Leafs clearly have a different opinion of the player.
They signed him, they definitely see NHL potential in him, he's probably still at least 12 months away from being even a fringe NHLer, probably 2 seasons from serious job contention at the minimum. Now, of note, he produced our "big name" C prospects SDA and Abramov.I haven't been watching any Marlie games admittingly, but why not try to groom Douglas a little more. The guys putting up .5 ppg in the AHL which is pretty good. Why not try to groom him more for NHL. He's Chara big and can skate and fight. Simmonds won't be around forever..
Yea, he's big on skates and plays big. I've checked in and watched here and there and the little that I've seen from him he looked pretty good. Skates surprisingly good for his size and uses his body. He's untouchable when it comes to fights. Anybody that big and heavy on skates has an huge advantage to balancing and getting the other guy off balance. Groom him for a Michael Bunting type of role. They signed him, they definitely see NHL potential in him, he's probably still at least 12 months away from being even a fringe NHLer, probably 2 seasons from serious job contention at the minimum. Brian Boyle became a full time NHLer at 24, we're probably looking at something similar. I love that we have this guy in the system.
