I think Knies should be killing penalties this year.

I agree. If there is one thing the Leafs need it's 2/3 C who can pk while producing pts. Kampf is a luxury we can't afford.

You just described a $6 million+ C and think we can't afford Kampf.

Jarnkrok + Kampf + Domi gone, you can do this.

Then you still have to find someone to trade with.

Danford is a concussion. So could be back whenever really. Minten is high ankle sprain so that is usually like 6 weeks easy.

Danford has been skating with the injured group, he'll likely be sent down and should be close to ready to play I think.

Minten is out for awhile, not skating.

He has two years of CHL eligibility, so that seems the most likely scenario. Two years in the OHL, and then a year or two in the AHL, before we see him with the Leafs.

Like the size and skill combination but I'd like to see him work on his skating

I feel like his skating was fine, but his defensive awareness is terrible, I don't know if I've seen worse.

They need to get him to buy into the defensive game, and I think he will have a very bright future if he does.

He looked like he was skating in cement when I've watched him, it would probably help his defensive game to if he got around a bit better

He was beating guys in foot races, so it'll be amazing if his form can get up to your standards, he may be the fastest player in the league.

That he has quickly picked up the language leads me to think that Grebs is a going to transition to the North American game faster than most. New language acquisition is a sign of an agile mind. It will be interesting to see how this kid has progressed by January.
