Agreed. To think that when rumours were posted that Wheeler was likely to make the US olympic team people here were laughing how desperate the US team must be. He is playing every bit like an Olympian right now :yo:

Let's just hope he's the only American that plays like one come Sochi:handclap:

What were they thinking embedding a reporter in their war room for that long a period. Access is great but that situation was a PR disaster.

Beyond a disaster. It's going to be a running joke forever now. Not that Brian Burke wasn't already. Even his kids poke fun at him:laugh:

Just thought i'd focus on the positive, it was getting a bit suicidal around here. Wheeler is a shinning beacon of hope for me, and i believe the team going into next season.

30 goals?

40....:sarcasm:

And here I am, just in time to ruin your positivity :D
Wheeler needs to make sure he doesn't have the same slow starts he's had in the past. He has always taken at least a month to get going it seems, if he starts hot, then lookout. He could reach 80 points and Scheif 65 points

Wheeler will start "hot" this season. Lots of players will - because training camp will not have a country club vibe this year. I think Wheeler will have the best season of his career this year playing with Schiefle and ?????.

My hope is Kane as they played well as a unit, but I doubt it happens.

Also: another hint that LLW won't be re-united. Unlikely to want to have two letters on the same line.

Better than who, Aavco? I'm happily forgetting the last couple of years, with the new season upon us. ;) ;)

I'm in favour of forgetting ;)

In his interview in regards to the whole BS Kane ordeal, he was very well spoken and seemed like he had some push behind his voice. I like this a lot!

He seemed to be the guy who was stepping up his game when the games didn't matter anymore. Not like people were moping, but Wheeler never lost that push to make something happen during tough times. He wanted this A and now that he has it, he knows that stretch last "spring" (ie: winter #2) needs to become the new norm.
