Speculation: Marek/Friedman- Edmonton 2nd and 3rd round picks for Korpisalo is being discussed

Korpisalo is basically worth a 4th rounder. He's a UFA. If his numbers were respectable, then he would be worth a 3rd rounder. If the CBJ's said the price was a 2nd and a 3rd earlier in the season, then that asking price has dropped significantly. If the CBJ's are still asking that price, then Holland can tell them to F off!

I said there's no reason to sacrifice picks this year because the season is essentially over. And I also said that their history has too many instances where picks were thrown away on panic moves that didn't really work so why keep going with the insanity?

They need to write off this season and reload in the offseason.

That was Columbus' ask. Edmonton didn't want to pay that and nothing was said to suggest that the Oilers will.

This would not work out well for the Oilers IMO, Korpisalo is not an upgrade over what the Oilers currently have in goal. Understandably Holland is in panic mode, guess he feels he needs to do something ASAP before McDavid/Drai demand out.
