couldn't find nothing on the site, the only thing I found was that Staal and his brothers and Pyatt played in a charity golf game, but nothing was said about how his eye is or isn't healing.

Cerny just tweeted this

a good sign, yes, but can't answer 100% RT @MuffDiverCEO: @JimCerny Jim, does Staal's invite to Olympic camp indicate he's close to 100%?

OT: How do you copy and paste tweets into a response?

You'd have to figure that HC would have some reserves about considering a one eyed defenseman for their team

MuffDiverCEO is really Carlos Danger:sarcasm:

Yzerman didn't invite Staal to the Canadian team camp if wasn't able to participate. The vision will probably never be 100%. Insurance issues might prevent the Canadian players from actually going on the ice. The US team has already said there won't be any on ice stuff at their camp. Insurance is ridiculously high.

Hockey Canada hopes to finalize plans for its Olympic orientation camp in August, but there’s no certainty that players will be able to skate because of insurance issues.

Hockey Canada president and CEO Bob Nicholson said no determination has been made yet on whether players will be able to skate, but called it “difficult†based on the price of insuring all NHL contracts.

“Insurance is a big issue,†Nicholson said in an interview Friday. “We got some quotes yesterday that it would be over a million dollars to skate. So if it’s that type of dollars, it’d be very difficult for us to do that. But we’re just starting to look into that now with the agreement being done.â€

Stop paying the players so much and the insurance won't be so expensive ;)

If you ask anyone here, he will be 100%, no concerns, slide right in bink bink bink despite the fact that he played ONE game in the playoffs then DISSAPEARED.

Its a EYE injury. There is NO guarentee he will ever be the same player again.

The main problem is not being able to see guys coming at him. The eye problem is really a concussion problem
