Brent Seabrook and Bobby Ryan are healthy scratches today yet somehow we can't scratch Marc Staal.
Not to mention cup champ and MVP Corey Perry buy out.

Aside from inserting Lindgren, what are your suggestions for replacing Staal? And remember, until very recently management was not convinced that Lindgren should be taking those minutes at this time (and they still may not be).Staal within 2 seasons and needs 151 games played as NYR to get 1000 as a NYR, maybe that is why they won't scratch him
like I said Marc Staal can take a dump on Quinn's breakfast and will still play that night. that is the sad truth about Staal![]()

That is not an answer or a solution. What is your alternative to Staal?I am sure anyone is better than Staal at this point. when Staal did not play in preseason, Rangers looked so much quicker on the back end. it is a shame that the coaching staff thinks he is still an NHL player
Honestly how much worse could Lindgren be? They called him up to play I assume. That is not an answer or a solution. What is your alternative to Staal?
And it has been explained multiple upon multiple times why he is still in the lineup. It is for the same reason that you cannot come up with a Plan B. The view was and still may well be that Lindgren is either not ready or not ready to assume the minutes. Smith is not getting moved from his spot where he has actually done very well. And money is not being spent on a waiver level player who has not found a team to all home at this point in the season. So again, what are your solutions?
It is not "how much worse can he be?". I think it is more of "is he ready to take on the minutes or is his long term development better done by playing big minutes in Hartford?". So it is not a question of can he be any worse than Staal or better than him. It is how is the franchise better served long term? I think that the answer is they seem to value long term over what happens in a year in which the team is lottery bound.Honestly how much worse could Lindgren be? They called him up to play I assume.

Totally agree but he looked pretty decent tonight in the NHLIt is not "how much worse can he be?". Staal was perfect - he just needs to do the same next game.
I still shcoked he was scratched but i don't expect him to miss the next game. I imagine Brady sits. I hope to god i am wrong.
You cannot change the lineup after a performance like that. Would be coaching malfeasance.
We piss on Staal, myself included. But I guarantee you he is all class about it and will never badmouth anyone or complain to the press.
Brady sat after taking a penality that wasnt a penality and was a ref f*** up. DQ doesnt need a reason to sit Brady. Your logic has no place in the rangers organization. Why would Brady sit after playing a really good game against Tampa? No.
