You're telling me you don't see Zadorov's shoulder hit Kase's head, are you serious?Looks shoulder to me tbh.
I think Kase is fine.
How did his helmet fly off his head?

Here it is at full speed.
How come none of Clifford or Ritchie make the lineup with simmonds out?
This game is going to be extremely physical and we look unprepared
Talk about a group of homers.
Clifford is dog shit and so is Ritchie. Neither player would have prevented that from happening. Sure Clifford might have punched a face afterwards but Ritchie sure as hell wouldn't have. He is big for nothing.
How so? By outshooting the 2 to 1 and controlling the play 5v5?

The principle point of contact was the head, wdym
How about you just watch the hit. The first thing to move on Kase is his head, therefore, it's a headshot. He also drives up, through the hit, as opposed to driving through the hit. Zadorovs body moves upwards before contact is made. That's a clean as a hit you are going to see. There was no intent to hit the head
Key word is intent
Kase is 5'11 and Z is 6'5
THere's absolutley no he cannot hit him and not get his full body or every part of Kase's body
ALso, watch the hit in real time, not in slow mo
When it’s a Leaf player being hitIn what world is that NOT a head shot.

What is Clifford going to do from stopping it from being Marner or Nylander? He sure as hell won't be on the ice with them. The Ritchie situation is what it is. Clifford should be dressed for such a game though in my opinion. You simply need SOME weight in a game like this on the road, no matter the difficulty of getting them in.
This time it was Kase, what if next time it is Marner or Nylander?
Leafs are just not built for this brand of hockey. Hopefully the beat them up on the scoreboard with skill but you don’t want to get pushed around either. I would say that’s an unfortunate result of a good hit with a big guy. Let’s see how they come out in the 2nd.

Guess so eh? Like come on, Chara would be taking someone out every single game if that was the rules. When it’s a Leaf player being hit

i’m sitting here at the game watching the Leafs get physically mauled, wondering if the refs are watching the same game.Based on Rielly's response to the hit, I'll be surprised if the Leafs don't come out with a more physical approach in the 2nd. That's one of those moments that a team rally's around.
Kase is 6’ he’s not “small” zads has been in the league long enough he should know how to use his body to take guys out. If that included headshots cuz he’s unable to do so legally he needs to be punished for it.I'm all good with calling it big guy hitting little guy but something tells me the "Experts" at intermission would be discussing suspension or not if that was Muzzin hitting little johnny hockey...
