Is the new 5 day isolation retroactive? If so, Nylander and Muzzin would be able to play.

I dunno. It was more of a general observation - the overall standings lose a lot of meaning for me when avoiding covid is as important a skill as playing hockey. It feels like there's an asterix starting to grow next to this regular season ...

Looking ahead a couple of weeks in the schedule and it appears that the Islanders and Wild are the only two American teams allowed in Canada.

Rework the schedule so Canadian teams hit the road down south for a few weeks and hope the tide changes here in a few weeks. Neither owners or players want a hit to HRR.

New cases are still sky-rocketing, so I'd be surprised if we don't have a significant number of cancelled games over the next week or two. As for Saturday? Depends on how both teams spend New Year's Eve.

I think we're in good shape going forward. The majority of our guys got it when the league was closed down could be a big advantage.

Majority of Sens and Leafs have had Covid in the past month so they should be able to hang out together...

Just got an email from MLSE stating they will "temporarily transition to operating without any sold tickets effective friday Dec 31 except for league and team requirements. It is expected that these limits will be in place for the next three weeks at which time the province has indicated they will reassess restrictions."

2 weeks to flatten the curve!

Thankfully MLSE was a little more forthcoming than the Provincial Government.

I was curious to know how long they initially planned to keep restrictions

I am cautiously optimistic that capacity will return to normal relatively soon if the preliminary data regarding the severity of Omicron holds up...

It will be odd to jump back and forth between games with full crowds and then no crowd.

I highly doubt American cities will limit crowd sizes. If NY and California havn't by now it seems highly unlikely

Quietly confident Florida and Texas won't

The worst part about this covid break is that they never got to face the Canucks and put an end to their 6 game winning streak. Canucks twitter has become insufferable after defeating the shitty ducks.

Ugh. I had forgotten how much of a hot streak Matthews and Reilly were on. I hope that continues. Nylander and JT were really starting to click as well. Kase was also heating up.

I miss the Leafs
Matthews 10GP - 13G - 5A - 18P

Rielly 10GP - 1G - 12A - 13P

Nylander - 10GP - 6G - 9A - 15P

Tavares - 10GP - 5G - 11A - 16P

Kase - 14GP(Since that Philly game) 7G - 6A - 13P

seems like one of the worst times for A) Marner to go down and B) the team to get Covid. Everyone was on a roll and dominating. Let’s hope they keep form after this extended break
