The whole season has been an exercise in frustration. Terrible November again, injuries, glimpses of fantastic play.

Losing games they dominate, and coming out completely flat to start way too many games.

If they aren't emotionally engaged they are average to bad. When they are invested in a game they are very good. Unfortunately that is often after giving up a couple early goals.

Just need the maturity and confidence to play a hard game consistently and take control of games. It looks like it will come.

What's going on is fans don't know the rules regarding icing and get mad. The rule is whoever gets to the faceoff dots first "wins" the race. Tie goes to the defender, the rules are in place to prevent injuries on puck races. Even if the puck rings around the boards and it's clear and obvious the attacking team is going to be first to the puck, the whistle and icing call will still go if the defender reaches the dots first/at the same time

And to be fair, if you only watched the sens when the play the Leafs, we probably do look well coached.

The refs do deserve criticism for the two tripping calls against the leafs (think DeBrincat and someone else). I wouldve lost it if those were called against the Sens.
