Post invalidated. Distinct kicking motion.
Honestly, team has played like that since the start of the year, and even tonight's loss they dominated. This isn't a fluke, and I'm super glad to be witnessing this.We are either good enough to make the playoffs or we aren't. Good teams win more often than they lose. If we are a good team, we will do that and if we do that, we will make the playoffs. If not, we won't, and then maybe you can say this was a fluke. Let's just enjoy the ride.
Date is SaturdayDont have Thanksgiving here, but I hope all of you who celebrate have a great one. I hope @NjDevsRR had a nice date, but not too nice so he will still be posting Dano memes in the future.
Everyone should be thankful for this winning streak, but more importantly how our team has played outside the score and how our core is structured for years to come. I sure am.
I'm off to work, have a good one.
nvm the date is not until saturday. Well I hope it still goes well. LOL
What is annoying is toronto only 5 points behind us (us having a game in hand, sure) while being 11-10 and we're 16-4. The loser point stinks.
My issue is that 6 points can quickly get whittled down to 0 points real fast.
Maybe it's all that PTSD from all those losing seasons but I feel that not being able to AT LEAST get a point to stay somewhat further ahead of the rest may come back to bite us.
Next game against whomever it is(I am too annoyed to check the schedule right now) is a must-win(or rather a must-get-two-points-at-all-costs) game.
And yeah....the 3 disallowed goals were pure ASS calls but it's Toronto so I expected shenanigans.
Very true.No loser points in the playoffs. Why do you think that loser team gets bounced so early every year?
I think the fact that the Laffs were the opponent played a part. 100%.The rule says you can’t use a kicking motion “to propel the puck into the net.” To me “using a kick” to “propel the puck into the net” isn’t just physical causation, it includes intending the kick to drive the puck home. Reading the rule as a whole, I think that’s a reasonable interpretation. I don’t know that the league has issued any definitive guidance. Clearly that wasn’t how Toronto interpreted it tonight.
The slow starts finally caught up with us, but only after the refs and bad luck also played their parts. And even then we deserved to win. We really couldn’t buy a single bounce tonight. We dominated the last 30 minutes and that was with Hughes and Bratt playing like crap. We’ll be fine.
