I think you can make it work. Freaking hischier scares the shit out of me with his drive lmao.
Yeah but if we're bringing in another forward I'd want it to be the right-handed shot we're missing. I wonder if we could pry Kuzmenko out of Vancouver. He is UFA at end of season, so he might be gettable. I'd rather go after him, plus I think he'd be cheaper both to trade for and to extend.

What is annoying is toronto only 5 points behind us (us having a game in hand, sure) while being 11-10 and we're 16-4. The loser point stinks.

I do not give a rat's ass about Toronto.

They aren't in our Division.

I'm concerned about those damn Islanders that won't f*** off and the Rags are probably going to beat Anaheim 'cause Anaheim wants Bedard.

Both teams will get 2 points by the end of the night and be at 26 points (6 points separating us, which sucks and makes the next game a must-win)

The rule says you can’t use a kicking motion “to propel the puck into the net.” To me “using a kick” to “propel the puck into the net” isn’t just physical causation, it includes intending the kick to drive the puck home. Reading the rule as a whole, I think that’s a reasonable interpretation. I don’t know that the league has issued any definitive guidance. Clearly that wasn’t how Toronto interpreted it tonight.

that's not what the ref explained. He said and I quote, "It was kicked into the net with a kicking motion". That is a verifiably incorrect statement. Importantly, it defies the explanation you pose above-- what you describe as a reason was not the reason for it being disallowed.

I mean, being only 6 points ahead doesn't exactly scream "the next game is a must win!" to me when we're barely a quarter of the way though the season. Just keep playing well and the standings will take care of themselves.

Higher chance of getting Lawson Crouse tbh although not the righty you are looking. it's a hard one to find that you can pry from. Only one i can think of are the grouchy ones.

I’m not worried about the isles and rangers right now. They’re worse teams than us so far, no reason we can’t continue to outplay them.

The canes though are GOOD, so I’ll savor every loss

Could only use NHL 94' controls!

Hughes and Bratt put themselves in the right place at the right time per their usual creativity--and that alone is good and probably the most important point.

It just felt like they were playing on Calgary ice with the puck just not holding on their stick at the moments it mattered most, and on occasion in Hughes' case, some indecision when he put himself in a good spot.
