When should Haula have scored? Last year?

I'm kind of sick of him already. He's been good, but he's really been a drain with goal scoring and I think we need to be careful with him going forward, as this happens when a player gets older like this. The shooting percentage goes down.

I do think he'll score more than the 4 goals he's on pace for, but I think it'll be a down year and his days of 15 goals might be over.

It's still too early to say for sure, but I'm getting 2016-2017 Mike Cammalleri 2 goals in 41 games vibes from him or some of the Ryder droughts in his last two years.

This type of thing tends to happen when a player gets into their 30's. It's kind of happening to Tatar the last two years relative to prior to that.

Played awesome. Corsi 62-20 in the 2nd and 3rd. Shots 30 to 10. Expected goals 3.14 to 1.67. Scoring chances for 32-10. High danger scoring chances 14-3. We absolutely dominated the last 2 periods.

Hell of an effort and way to end a game, even if they lost.

I agree with you. He's not as bad as those guys were at the end, but his offense may be drying up like those guys did.

It started happening to Palmieri the last two years, but he's currently shooting 16.5% this year.

I'm not even ruling out re-signing Haula, if he takes a pay cut from what he's getting now. Certainly not for a raise.

That's because your perspective is wrong. Look at it this way: The team is 13-1 in it's last 14. That's pretty ******* awesome.

Ok, 6 points clear at a minimum. That's still pretty damn good.

My issue is that 6 points can quickly get whittled down to 0 points real fast.

Maybe it's all that PTSD from all those losing seasons but I feel that not being able to AT LEAST get a point to stay somewhat further ahead of the rest may come back to bite us.

Next game against whomever it is(I am too annoyed to check the schedule right now) is a must-win(or rather a must-get-two-points-at-all-costs) game.

And yeah....the 3 disallowed goals were pure ASS calls but it's Toronto so I expected shenanigans.

That’s the thing. We needed a standing ovation at the end. Even the way they ended this game during the last two periods after hanging in during the first. I can’t say enough about what this team has accomplished in this first 1/4 of the season.

the puck can't deflect off "any player, goaltender, or official" from the kick, so sure -- the kick wasn't towards the net, but any subsequent deflections (not a stick) didn't matter
