I don’t really see the issue with what they’re doing if they’ve already told Boudreau they’re not re-signing him for next season. He’s under contract to coach this season. If he knows he’s not returning, what’s the harm in finding his replacement already?

The whole coaching situation has been a non-stop blunder from the second they hired a coach before they hired a GM.

This has been Burke-Keenan all over again (albeit with less assholey people involved, save Aquilini) and has basically and predictably gone down the same way.

My company has outright said I'm not coming back at the end of my contract...okay, fair.

My company is going to FIRE me, and find a replacement before my contract is over and do it so openly...yeah, that's some major bullshit.

Agreed. We just don’t know the details if Boudreau knows, and if they fire him mid season or let him walk in the off-season. I don’t think this looks as bad as some are claiming.
