gotta pump the tires of Boeser and Horvat and see if you can get value for them.

Simply too many problems with this team:

Defence, leadership, size, grit, special teams, center Ice- all of these are problems which means no quick fix.

Need a GM with the balls to just make it happen and ask permission from Frankie later.

My real name is Donna Chang but I"m not Chinese.

Yeah, it's early and a couple quick wins could turn the mood quickly.

But what sticks out with these losses is HOW they lost, at least to me, giving up those leads is not a good look.

Meh. Our PP hasn't gotten going yet. It happens, special teams always run hot/cold, and people always freak out when the PP is cold.

Honestly just put in Rathbone now. Can’t be any worse. Make Bruce do it Alvin.

I can't believe we're going to waste the best goalie we've ever developed, a star center and a star defenceman core because an absolute moron was running the show for nearly 10 years.

A small part of me is glad our owner has assembled the worst front office in the last 10 years of Professional Hockey by hiring rookie GM’s and coaches over and over. They literally just hired another Rookie GM to learn on the fly again. This is like candid camera type stuff. I hope fans just stop showing up and providing revenue until he just decides he needs to sell the team. Guy is a POS as well as a human being and karma is a b*%#!

I was less worried about Alvin because Rutherford is there, but now I'm questioning how much of the decisions are being made by Rutherford vs Alvin.

Kuzmenko was a nice signing but aside from that management is no different than Benning. They clearly are afraid of cutting their losses and making the necessary moves to turn this team around. Doubling down on Miller and Boeser was just stupid but they did it because no one was probably willing to give them what they wanted in the trade market. If this season goes off the rails, having Miller, Horvat, and Boeser as pending free agents would have brought back quite the haul at the deadline. We could be looking at 4 first round picks in next years draft if we had played our cards right. But they never learn.

this start might be good for the long term direction of the team

either they will absolutely go off the rails and we will get a real sense of if this management team has a real strategy or if they're just going day to day and reacting to wins and losses;

or they will turn it around but have the constant shadow of this start, rather than some dumb "we started the year 6-0!!" streak that creates a linger sentiment of "optimism" based on dismissing underlying, fundamental problems and extrapolating a stretch of games where things simply went right vs wrong (ie. the bubble playoffs)

I get the feeling we'll be welcoming Seth Jones or Erik Karlsson to the lineup soon in what will go down as the worst trade in franchise maybe league history as our 1st will be heading the other way and it will end up being Bedard.

Predictions:

Garland, Poolman, 1st for Karlsson 40% retained.
or
Boeser, Poolman, 1st for Jones with 20% retained.

Each of those deserves a trade board post. Watch the world burn.
