So many lazy plays in the third. Bright eyes is looking better and Trouba looks pretty good, no adverse affects from his injury.
Onward and upward.
Onward and upward.
Every team in the Central is now at .500 or better both at home and on the road.
Thoughts:
Trouba looks like he hasn't lost a step since before the injury. The kid is amazing.
We need to stop turtling in the third. I understand protecting the lead, but what we're doing is ridiculous.
Holden is young. I'm younger, but I happened to catch a glimpse of a retired Gillies jersey on the Islanders feed earlier in the game, and figured that it wasn't Colton.
I miss the East.
Kane is actually starting to look... Dare I say, aware that he has teammates and it doesn't work to try to do it all by himself the same way all the time?
Little is still great, even though he hasn't scored the last few games.
Stuart from Wright? Really?
6-1-1 against the East.
12-6-3 vs. any team not from Chicago or Minnesota.
Hahaha! World Beaters*
* Does not include Minny or Chicago
Its just nice to get a whiff of optimism now and then.
I think I'm going to start just watching the first and second period of games.... Then turn it off.
I can't take these " let's find a way to lose " third periods anymore.
Ellerby with the +3 game.
He is looking like a former 1st round - 10th overall draft pick.
Awesome night for him.
Not to mention his D partner who scored the 1st goal, most hits, tied for most blocked shots (5 in NJ) and also +3.
Haha Islanders retired Colton Gilles number, that gave me a great laugh thanks
Haha, I was thinking the same thing
Yeah, the whole "let's back the hell off and play defensively to hold on to the win" strategy in the third is going to give me a stroke one of these days
Does anyone disagree with my opinion that Trouba is the most valuable player for the Jets right now? If you disagree, which player is more important to the success of the Jets the rest of the year ?
