We need centers so Kampf is pretty safe especially with his PK role unless someone offers da moon which won't happen .. Robertson Jankrok Dewar are at trade risk and my guess is whoever gives them any asset for any of them and Leafs pull da trigger .. Dewar likely has zero value and could be waived .. Robertson has some still because of his junior days scoring .. Jankrok has most vet value but he is 33 hernia injured with 2 years at 2.1M so it is a tough deal to do (he has to come back to team first after XMAS and play well before a trade can occur)

Yeah Kampf isn't getting traded, so i think fans can calm down on including him in trade proposals.

Robertson is just another player that will succeed in the AHL and preseason but never makes the transition to the NHL. Remember Bruce Boudreau here as a player? AHL scoring machine but didn’t have much of a career in the NHL

The issue I see is he is just too light and small. He gives effort but gets pushed around too easily.
He has a great shot but to get space in the NHL is a lot harder than the AHL or preseason

He just doesn’t offer much else …he has speed but terrible balance. And you don’t want him in the playoffs when interference and crosschecking is let go. He will be plastered into the boards constantly.

His value may not be any higher than after preseason.

I like the kid and I hope he proves me wrong but he is a 3rd line player here but needs players on his line that can create space for him.

I think I agree on most of your points, but this is an AHLer as far as I can tell. He’s on pace for 3 points in an 82 game season. He can help the Marlies, but he just won't get much more time with the Leafs.

I think the only reason another team might take a chance on him is because it's been widely publicized that he wants to be traded.

Berube / Treliving need to platoon the bottom 6 at this point, but Robertson has to be demoted.

The fact that Steeves has now taken his spot in the lineup, they should just waive him and let him play for a bottom feeder.

I've never seen a guy lay on the ice as much as Robertson.

Every shift. Skates as quick as he can. Shoots from literally anywhere into people, skates, any direction it doesn't matter. Then just falls down

He’s obviously not a big guy but a lot of that falling down on his own is nerves. He’s trying lile heck to be responsible and make an impression on the coach but he doesn’t seem to have the ability to find open ice or get to the rights spots around the net. He should watch video of Cole Caulfield because he’s even smaller but puts himself in better scoring positions. Mind you he’s probably playing with better offensive players who can get him the puck.

Robertson is not good enough to create on his own, he needs a center who can get him the puck. The problem is they don’t have a third line center that can do that.

Seems like this is his big problem. He is trying like heck to earn bottom six time, and does the blue collar thing to very limited success, short circuiting his one big skill. Whereas maybe he should actually just be a lazy cherry picker and present an open pass target to a playmaking teammate. In any case I feel like he doesn't have enough NHL abilities to really do it.
