Trocheck played 22:17. He was second on the team in TOI. Mf'er played 5:13 on the PP! That's near half of Laf's total TOI this game. Only Fox played more. What did Trocheck show for it? Not even a single shot on goal. Complete trash, over played glorified 3rd line grinder coach's pet.

This team is going absolutely nowhere with this coach or this core or especially this management. Their priorities are completely twisted.

Nothing changed from last year. New system. Same BS. Same usage. Literally nothing changed.

It's not an overreaction to one game. They've scored 5 goals over the last 3 games because Vincent f'n Trocheck is being crammed down our throats.

If by the end of the long road trip Kakko or Laf aren't putting up real production the only thing left is to reunite the kid line again. Kakko is lost playing with Panarin and for some reason isn't putting up the points with #20 and #93.

Trocheck is *good not 20+ minutes good. He's not an elite player. He's not a player that should be leading any forward group in ice time. He's playing more than Zib, Kreids, and Panarin for crying out loud. This team is going nowhere this way.

Laf Chytil Kakko all gifted top 6 spots they’ve got what 2 pts between them total thru 4 games? Give me a break these guy’s aren’t teenagers anymore.

It's bad. I haven't really seen "it" from Laf for a long time and I just get the feeling this stint will confirm the negatives even more.

If Laf can't produce in this situation what does the team even do with him? Just give up completely and hope he becomes Jimmy Vesey?

None of the kids can sniff Tros jock. He's a nice 5th best forward on a good team. None of the 3 are close to that.

Stood around by himself first time, waited for the other sloths to gain entry the 2nd time.

It is still related - the plans changed with those two lottery wins because things were expected of the players we got with those picks.

The salary isn’t the same, but it’s like signing a guy to 8x8 after a career year in a contract year and then he never produces 70% of what he gave in that contract year. The kids aren’t even producing 70% of what the expectations were for their rookie/sophomore years, let alone what they’d be in years 4/5.

It isn’t their fault. They didn’t cause the loss.

They’re just inherently a part of the massive problems with the team because of the fact that they do suck.

And they DO suck. I know you’re about to respond with some thread of logic that defends them based on age, minutes, usage, PP time, linemates, EV production or the position of the zodiac on the days they were drafted but… it’s really pushing beyond time to admit that they just genuinely suck ass for 1/2 picks. Oh well.

Laf you’re lucky he can scratch a secondarily assist off once a week.

I mean, yeah, that's probably a point worth exploring but Lafreniere is not 13+ minutes good. He's getting the ice time he should.

The kids just aren't particularly good players in the NHL. It's over. This is the players they are.

Hey is Cuylle ever gonna show his teeth? Laf gets throttled by Liam Obrien and he doesn't do anything. He gets rocked tonight like it's ok and does nothing. I thought he was supposed to be Tom Wilson, not Tom Hanks.

Maybe he was too busy being our best forward tonight...........but yeah I wouldn't mind seeing his teeth .
