He took some serious punishment on one of those assists. Basically had three Wildcats converge on him behind the net and took a hard shot from one of them. But that's Ehlers, he will draw attention to himself and create space for others.

This is the part of North American Hockey culture that I still don't understand, after years of following hockey closely......Why are these hits still allowed in the game? There are far too many of them and they are an obvious danger, its a shame that it seems as though its going to take a major injury for the powers that be to get serious about this issue, two games for a hit like that is a joke, its an absolute farce. Someone is going to get paralyzed in the CHL, AHL, NHL if they let this go on. Then it will be a black eye for the sport, and its all preventable.....shameless.

What bothers me the most about that hit, is that no one stood up for Nik there (by the loooks of the video). I realize the Moose were on the PK but still, c'mon, If I seen my team mate get wrecked like he did, best believe Id be swarming Johnson if I was on the Ice.

Not really, ehlers stoped up more than the Swiss player and his head went directly into the boards face on whereas ehlers was going much slower and didn't go head first straight on. I've been cross checked like that many times and fell into the boards, still a penalty, but ehlers definitely sold it a little bit on that one.

I don't know will13, Johnson tracks him the length of the ice picks his spot and does a violent, full cross check onto the back of a guy that drives him head first into the boards. This wasn't a bang bang reaction type play it was a really ******* move and a really dangerous play. Two games seems light but I am not familiar with how the Q hands out suspensions so who knows I guess?
