THAT GOALLLLL WAM-BAM-BA-LOOM-BAM-BA-LAM-BAM-BOOOOMMMM

what more can you ask from him seriously??

"Matthews is still #1 though because U18 a year ago"

Shift 6: makes defensive play to steal puck, skates over neutral zone and gives break away saucer backhanded to kuusela, who couldnt barry it, had all time

He plays like nhl star in prime would be in liiga. Every shift he has created scoring change with individual skill

Haven't counted them, but if goal was 5th shift like someone said then this was his 7th shift.

Tappara needs to win today, and Laine better get the MVP title, can't believe what he is doing right now.

To be fair the saucer was not the smoothest and Kuusela was pretty close to the goal and at high speed, when he got it. Not blaiming Laine and it was a really good play, but you make it sound as if Kuusela failed massively

Shift 7; opening pass from kuusela, gets it back with AA chance and draws penalty for HIFK

Wow, Laine and Kuusela came to play today, they have both played exceptionally well. Laine just earned a penalty from Hifk, after nice pass plays with Kuusela

You really can't ask for much more from him. He may have elevated himself to be a tie for #1 going into the draft, and it might come down to has the actual pick, as to who goes first. Does that team need a winger, or a C more? A team like Edmonton, could very well pick Laine at this point. A team like Toronto probably has a greater need at C.

Shift 8 first shift not to have or create change 17minutes played. Missed one shot, rare thing

Shift 9 skates the puck in the zone and plays puck for kuusela who miss handles it. Last shift of period.

P1: 9 shifts, 1 half breakaway, 1 onetimer open chance for kuusela, 1 breakaway pass for kuusela, 4 scoring chances and one scored goal (onetimer)

That has to one of his best shifts of the playoffs. Just unbelievable every shift. Tappara is clearly the better team too tonight

Ok is there any way we can get a shift-by-shift video of Laine after this game? this is Liiga, a 17 year old shouldn't be able to do this

edit: 18* forgot he turned 18 recently

Laine was on a breakway from what.. 60 seconds in the game (?) by dangling true the middle. Hit the post a moment later. Couple of passes to Kuusela where he could have just buried it. That was one period I've never seen from an 18 year old in the playoffs. Laine looks to carry that first line which is pretty funny, considering Kuusela is the point leader in regular season and one of the best players in the league.
You never get bored watching this kid. The most amazing talent there's been in the Liga in my life time.

This guy is a beast, its ****ing non believable great. Literally you think can this be true, can he really do this again and again, is it going to stop, can our prospect be this good? ****ing star player potential INDEED, he actually plays like one already.

He is usually flashy and great but now he is on fire and it could be championship deciding game.
