Nichushkin would be top 3 for me. But, I can see how you'd say this
i'd have barkov ahead of him too. maybe lindholm.

Even as a wings fan I think the should of gone top 5 talks are whack, those guys are all playing in the NHL. His pace will cool of quite a bit, he will still put up a lot of points and possibly lead the Q but some of the hype is a little much.
First pointless game of the season for Mantha, few nice plays but Charlottetown did a good job not letting him shoot, others got plenty of opportunities for Val- d'Or but couldn't finish.
big kids who dominate much smaller competition at the jr levels should be taken with a grain of salt, i want to see how he performs with a more level physical playing field

Okay you're completely ignoring the fact that Mantha is only going to get stronger, he is still pretty skinny for his height, Mantha was a late bloomer as well. Using his size really isn't a big part of his game anyways.
That Mario Lemieux was a bum, big guy dominating all those tiny Q players, never could do anything in the nhl .

The only conclusion we can really draw is that Mantha is capable of playing at a very, very high level for his age. It's definitely a good sign, but he needs to show more before anybody is converted.Yeah. That top five stuff isn't really registering with me either. Right now anyways. If he continues to develop well I suppose he could work his way in, but he has no business there right now.
Top 10, probably.
1 assist but been a ghost except his 3 penalties
i found at the game he just did not show up, showed his great skating but I found he was losing the puck when handling it on the fly, he was taking bad penalties....he just did not look good at all in the game....

Other than winning a couple of faceoffs, I'm struggling to think of anything to write home about for either him or Sille, which is kinda disappointing. I'm going to have to check to see if either of them got credit for a shot (Mantha had at least one, but I can't think of another unless I missed it). Mooseheads shut down everyone pretty well tonight.

I'm not saying the guy is gonna suck, hes obviously skilled but he's bigger than most players in that league and is not facing grown men on NHL bluelines. Need to see how he does in the AHL before I buy in completely
Yup. The most I saw out of Sille was him winning a draw right in front of me and then he busted himself off the ice.
John Moore did an interview with Mantha.
"use der ass if i can say to protect the puck"
Four more points this afternoon. 18 goals and 15 assists in 12 games.
That's almost 3 ppg he's at. It's amazing. Is the rest of his team really good or is he doing most of it on his own.
