Habs fans and Bourque are proclaiming Tokarski better than the "ringless king" on the main boards.

Let them have their little moment. The habs are still the team down 3-2. This series will be closed out on game 6

props to Rangers fans defending Lundquist. Shame on the others. You dont deserve the worlds best goaltender. What a farce.

Henrik is a great great goaltender. He had a pretty poor game tonight.
No point in you trying to manufacture a lack of support for Henrik where that is not the case.

Put away the props and the shame, this is not a situation in which Rangers fans should be lambasted. It's a game all the Rangers wish they had back, including Henrik.

And this is milder than I expected. He's even slandered when we lose 2-1 or at times 1-0 (!). I'll say though that this year's postseason seem to have won over many. He had a pretty bad game and as he's his own hardest critic he'll bounce back.

Props to you coming here with a reasonably balanced post.

I will always defend Henrik, and at the same time admit that he had a poor game. You can be sure he knows it too. That man cares a ton.

Go away with your histrionics. Your post comes across as a bit juvenile.

Really? Histrionics? Do you use that in every day life or do you just drop that online to try and come off as a bad ass?

I'm not manufacturing anything, this is a 7 page thread on Henrik to which I've contributed but one reply (now 2).

I apologize for 'histrionics'. It was not an apt choice of words. No, I am not an internet badass, just a devoted Rangers fan of decades who interpreted your comment incorrectly.

Edit: Spell his name correctly, for starters.

It's either him or Quick. 1a 1b Rask and Price not there yet but top 5.

What has Lundqvist proven exactly over guys like Rask and Price?

What has he proven over a guy like Crawford?

The guy is constantly fighting the puck and gives up juicy rebounds. He's not ****, don't get me wrong, he's a good goaltender but to say "he's the best" is far from the truth.

Lol, this post can't be for real.

I can bet the house EVERY sane single Blackhawk fan would prefer Hank over Crawford. Seriously, Crawford doesn't even touch Lundqvist, and don't use the Stanley cup ring as your argument. Hank would have a cup by now if he was the Blackhawks goalie.

Hank's career has had a great and consistent career since 2005. Never had one completely bad year. That's what puts him above Rask and Price. Hank is the best goalie in the NHL, period. Guys like Quick/Rask/Price are right behind him.

You are impervious to fact.

Had a tough night, but, to be fair, our d-men made a lot of mistakes, too. Talbot didn't fare much better. A tough game, a tough loss. Short memory. Get it together for Thursday. Time to close this team and their drama out and send 'em golfing.

He is absolutely the best goalie in the league. What do those other guys have over him? That they've won a team accomplishment in the past on much better teams than Hank's ever had? If you watch any goalie, they all have times where they let in bad goals and have off games. No goalie in the history of the sport is exempt from that. What makes Henrik marquee among current goalies is that season in, season out he maintains a super high level of play.

Rask is on his way there perhaps. Comparing Price and Lundqvist is delusional. What has Price proven over Lundqvist in your eyes? Since entering the league, ranked among goalies who have played over 100 games in that time, Price is 14th in save pct. Price has a .909 playoff career save pct, 4 times in 6 at .901 and lower in the playoffs. Price has in 7 NHL seasons not managed even a single Vezina finalist nod, not once named to 1st or 2nd team all star. Price also has an alarming career trend of up and down seasons. Just look at his save percentages on his career: .920, .905, .912, .923, .916, .905, .927. Playoff save percentages over his career: .901, .878, .890, .934, .894, .919.

Compare Lundqvist to that. Vezina win, 5 time Vezina finalist, one time Hart finalist, one 1st team all star and one 2nd team all star selection, and vastly better career numbers and consistency than Price. While Habs fans may be making outrageous claims about Price's greatness, there is zero to back this up at the NHL level and comparing Price to Lundqvist is atrocious and insulting.

When you mention Crawford, I'm not even sure how to seriously respond to that. Great team in front of him, but when they aren't playing well he sure does get lit up. Not hating on the guy, but watch him play. A simple eye test and it's hard to convince most people outside of Chicago that he's top 10, let alone should be mentioned in the same sentence as Lundqvist.

I will not sit here and deny Hank had a bad game. He did. But ALL goalies have bad games, most have a lot more of them than Hank does, and none have played at such an elite level with the consistency that Lundqvist has his entire career.

People can be frustrated with losses, they can be upset about this that or the other. But make no mistake: you will look back one day, after this guy is retired, and you will realize we witnessed something very special and remarkable here. Lundqvist is a future hall of famer and the best goalie this team has ever had.

Wait... Price has proven himself but Lundqvist hasn't? That makes absolutely zero sense, but I wouldn't expect anything else from a Habs homer trolling on the Rangers board.

Lol... I didn't even realize he was a Habs guy. I'm editing photos on the side for work and quickly popping in and out of here. Need to pay better attention, I could've saved the 3 minutes on that last post I made.

No Habs fan think that Tokarski is better than Lundqvist. And Lundqvist has been the best goalie in the league for quite a while at this point. Price is still young.
