Come on guys...we always take too many shots in the shootout. You gotta deke man these are NHL goalies...

Taking a shot is good sometimes, but we do it way too much.
 
Take the point on the road against a hot team.

Kopitar, no goal. Carter, goal. Gaborik, no goal. At least the SO follows the story of the season.
 
Columbus is, by points percentage, the best team in the league.

We dominated most of that game and lost a coin flip.
 
Also again, considering the schedule, travel, and who we've been up against, I'm proud of what this squad is doing right now with lots of guys injured and banged up and top guys (Kopitar, what's going on man, Muzzin apparently has a traumatic brain injury) not performing. Hats off to Drew though, monster game for the most part.
 
Carter is such a ****ing beast. He's single handedly carrying this team right now and deserves Kopi's salary.
 
Doughty with high praise for Derek Forbort and Carter. Great game. We came out on the wrong end.

I remember the press interviewing Carter when he got traded from Columbus. He said he didn't ask for the trade.

Pretty remarkable that the team has done this well to this point, Kopitar is out there looking like Dustin Penner, Muzzin has reverted to his rookie year play, and obviously playing two AHL goaltenders all year is just asking for disaster.

Doughty and Carter are carrying the team right now but if Kopitar can find his game in the new year we should be in good shape
 
Carter is doing everything right now. Won't forget a couple of games ago him calling out the team and calling them fragile. Looks like DD is coming back to his old self....whew!
 
How many points has Carter been worth in the standings this year?

Kopitar, Brown, Gaborik, Toffoli, Pearson, Doughty, Muzzin, Quick. That's $42.2m in cap space.
 
ANd last year, people couldn't wait to be rid of him. Do I need to dig up some mid-2015 GDTs?

Sometimes, it's hard to see the big picture through the ebbs and flows of the season.
