The point remains that this team needs more from Kopitar and from the others who are expected to produce if this team stands for any chance of getting into the playoffs. We've seen Quick carry this team on his back when they couldn't give him any goal support in 2012. Now they have to do it without him.

At some point, we need to see a sense of urgency. We already have heard about a team meeting that took place and a public and much needed outburst from one of the leaders on the team.

Let's not sugarcoat things, and no, Kopitar doesn't deserve a "pass." He's not paid to be a floater in the offensive zone. This team depends on him heavily.

Also if that injury is causing his play to (dip), the right thing needs to be done , and sit him out of the lineup, till he is 100%.

He is a 14 million dollar player, you don't gamble with that type of assets health.

Another point,

I am NOT ok, with Kopitar scoring sub 65 point seasons from here on out.

He asked for the big bucks, he got it, it's time to play ELITE, like he did in last season.

If that means Kopitar is a 15 goal 55 assist Center...COOL, I am ok with that.

It's still early, Kopitar can turn it around, but atm, he is on a 45-50 point pace.
