Williams should have just taken the man instead of pointing, he was way closer than Stoll :/

I only saw one scoring chance for the Kings in that period, and it was King's shot off the post.

Your typical lackluster road effort in the opening 20 minutes, playing on their heels.

This team doesn't hit, or play Kings hockey on the road. It's why the losses will continue to pile up.

Kings ****ing love taking the puck behind the net in the offensive zone and then keeping their ***** glues to the boards. Then they pass it back and forth until it's turned over. God forbid they actually fight their way into the slot. That would be wayyyyy too much work.

Yep, no clue how we have gone back to that. Thought at least those days were behind us but ugh.

i don't see much care or urgency in their game, so why should i stress over something when the kings gave up on their season a month ago

Missing the playoffs might not be a bad thing for this team, the rest and humiliation might re-motivate them.

Kings have been scored on first on the road 16 times. They are 2-9-5 in those games. They needed a better start.

Kopitar - 1 goal, 1 point on the road against the East.
Gaborik - 1 goal, 1 point on the road against the East.
Carter - 0 goals, 1 point on the road against the East.
Brown - 0 goals, 0 points on the road against the East.

Richards - 2 goals, 5 points on the road against the East.

2 periods to get a win.

I would like to see the number of how many times the kings are actually able to carry the zone instead of watching this lame ****ing bore you to death dump ins. Stop holding the god damn puck and move the puck up the ice with speed ffs.

You are, what your record says you are. The Kings are not a very good team so far this year.

Thirteen wins in their last Forty games.

watching the EPIX thing here during intermission. really well done, cool to hear some of the one-ice banter you don't get on the live broadcasts.

great bit with Sutter and his son Chris meeting Maria Shriver. Darryl's got a huge grin on his face the whole time, cracks a couple jokes. far cry from the personality you see behind the bench. fantastic stuff :handclap:

on topic: really slow start, JQ looks sharp though. not the worst thing in the world for him to see some shots early.

That explains the terrible road record against the East nicely.

I just don't understand playing so well over the last few games then coming out so flat tonight. I'm not on the ledge yet but these guys look gassed again.

To be honest I'm not surprised if Kopitar is tired. Make it your job to watch literally just him for a couple of shifts; he literally has to fight thru three guys for space every single shift. So much interference.

Dump and chase would be ok but yeah as you said it's dump and watch

The Hawks have played What ? Five ? less games than the Kings over the last three years.

Not buying the tired/fatigue excuse. The Hawks have 64 points and Toews/Kane/Crawford/Keith look fine.

How could you not understand it ? It's the only thing the Kings have been consistent with all year, inconsistency.

What would be hard to understand, is if they actually did flip the switch, and rattled off an epic win streak.

This roster is not very good so far this year, or consistent.

With all due respect, that's a ridiculous statement.

If you are going to emphasize that they only have 13 regulation wins, then I get that. A team with only 13 wins in 40 games is in the cellar in the West, not in playoff contention.
