I'm all for Calgary doing the best they can but I don't see them in the picture by March 1st (otherwise I'm gonna print this post and eat it). Still lot of folks here keep underestimating what our team is capable of but I'm not gonna throw in the towel unless we enter March with less than 70 points (last year we had 72, 70 in 2012). This team throughly showed they are able to exorcise their demons like no other team in sports. 1 or 2 of LAK, Min and Dal will get there and Calgary is the weakest link out of Canadian teams and they have a very tough schedule this month. And yes they're the feelgood story of this season and have been a better team than Kings thus far. Also Gio is a demigod, thank goodness he was available in 70s in our boards fantasy draft :)

having In-and-Out for lunch today. Bless us.

What's your order number? I had a long streak going where if my order number was a Kings player (I had 77, 73, 27 from the ones I can remember) they would win. Hasn't happened in a while though. :(

Twelve games remaining in Feb...7 of which are on the road(where the kings really stink). LA needs 16 of 24 pts to reach 70 from those games so .667 p%. Not seeing it, not with all those road games. They're sure in the right division to make it, but they're going to need all the help they can get from their Pacific division (non)competitors.

You can not see it all you want, that poster was saying he's not giving up. After seeing how this team has done the same act over the last three years with two cups and a WCF in between, it's beyond foolish to write them off before they're even close to mathematically eliminated, especially with how they've turned up the heat as we know they can.

Edit: in starting to hope we barely squeak in because I'm already seeing the whining heat turned up about loser points and blu blu blu pacific sucks. Would be great to run the table again so we can be the luckiest THREE time champs instead of just two.

FWIW Kings were sitting at 56 points after 49 games in 2012, 64 points in 2014 and they dropped 8 of the next 10 games before entering olympic break with Regehr's gwg in ot. Let's see what this month brings.

I'm certainly not writing them off...as you said it's beyond foolish. Third in the weak Pacific is only 59pts and LA has 2 games in hand on Calgary. Heck, second in the Pacific is only 61pts and they have 2 games in hand on the sharks too. Just anxious to see this run start so LA can provide some entertaining hockey again.

Not there, but here
Sometimes life can be oh so cruel. The problems Kings are having on the road and now, they have Ovi to contend with. That guy is capable of being a one man team by himself. Oh, woe is me ;(

Make or break month for several teams. The trade deadline is coming up, teams can't afford to dig themselves holes in February.

This month decides sellers/buyers. If a team is Five-seven points out of a playoff spot come March 1st; slim to no chance that team makes the playoff's.

One of the reasons the Kings have so successful against the Caps on recent years is because Ovi has disappeared in games against them.

Ovie is either red hot or a liability defensively. Hopefully the 2 goals he had last game were the end of a hot streak

Win. Please. It's now. 2 points or bust.
