Well that was embarrassing. Fun stuff. DL has his work cut out for him but I'm excited to see what sort of makeover this team gets. It's clear the 2012-2014 era cup team is just out of magic beans. And there's no shame in that. DL has overcome two MAJOR challenges so excited to see what comes next even of the rest of this season is full of fork-in-eye games like this.

At least it's early. Dinner time. Catch you guys later :)

You know who was the one biggest contributor to our Cup runs in 12 & 14? Lombardi! Actually, the Kings don't win without Lombardi's moves. It's proven in the last 2 cup runs.

Can somebody shop a Kings logo on this?

Patrick Brisebois on the post-game on TVA Sports buying in to the "fatigue thesis" (LAK team having played the most games, now they are tired blablabla) and all three commentators concluding that LAK will not make the playoffs.

Might have to start making moves to secure a winning team for the future. Many vets on the roster are getting worse and on the downside of their careers and there are a few too many plugs on this roster.

Bringing back the same group for four consecutive years may have been a hinderance in the sense that many guys have grown to be complacent.

I don't see the same drive, passion, intensity, hunger, desperation, perseverance, etc. These guys have been mailing in their performance in 2015.

i hope we end up with a top 10 pick in the draft

who would the kings be eyeing? outside of the top 5 i'm kinda clueless...

True, but our defense was sound, not making any of the consistent errors we've seen all season. Remember "protect home plate", now its "where's home plate" followed by a goal.

Well not much to say really, outplayed.

On to Florida.

Herby's Green Jacket Award update:
Brown -10
Muzzin -9
Kopitar -7
King -7

I remember "protecting home plate", too. But I think that was a TM thing. Sutter's was "Attack them before they attack you!". We are not doing that, either! Defense? Lombardi's move. I don't know what can be done, but he has to get someone he can play now!

Dustin Brown with some honesty, "We are not going to win any hockey games, with no emotion on the ice".

Go the Wild route - one after every game. :shakehead

At least it would show that the leadership gives two ****s about the way the team is playing.
It's embarrassing when looking at the road stats of the Kings top players. Jordan Nolan is the only King to score a goal in 6 periods. Jordan ****ing Nolan. That's brutal.
