Clifford seems to be playing with a bit of spark now, sutter or his missus have given him back his testicles. I didn't like seeing lewis cop a few jabs from the caveman near the end or the sobber flattening gaborik with 30 seconds left. That sort of rubbish should have been addressed.

Well on Lewis, clifford tried, but of course was intercepted by every ref and a bunch of sharks.

On gaborik, yeah, that pissed me off. Our guys just keep getting ragdolled with no response.

I have a deal that Dean should dangle in front of other GMs prior to the deadline.

You get Williams, and you have to take Richards as well.

That's probably too much salary moving, the team that gets Williams will most likely want to resign him, Richards would get in the way of that. Richards contract is truly awful. Yikes!!

That we've seen the team go through a similar slump to this in the past 3 seasons and ended up winning 10 playoff series (42 playoff victories if I counted correctly) in those 3 seasons.

But you're missing the point about the team not being anywhere close to the same, plenty of key personnel are gone and others are shells of their former self. Just because they are wearing the uniform doesn't mean everyone can flip a switch.

Mitchell and Voynov are gone, two top 4 defenseman who were key factors on special teams. The difference between these two guys and McNabb and Greene is enormous. Other guys are here in body but not much else. When Dustin Brown starts playing like 2012 Dustin Brown post this, when Mike Richards stops looking like Erik Rasmussen and returns to the 2012 player we can talk about what they did in the past.

Right now this team may not be skilled enough to get in, they need to get Toffoli back and another top 6 forward in addition to that and ofcourse a top 4 defenseman.

Well, at least Shore got his 1st assist as a King.

Gotta take something positive away from that crap game.

The thing is, everyone was talking about how washed up and useless Mitchell was until this season where we didn't have him anymore. That's a fact. Not to mention Dustin Brown and Mike Richards both didn't do either of those things last year and well, you know the rest.

I think too many people assume that it was Greene or Mitchell. Maybe Mitchell just asked for too much term and DL let him walk. Greene may not have even factored into it.

To much salary going to another team. You have to assume a contender would want Williams, what contender, even if for some odd reason they wanted Richards also could fit him into their cap?

If the Kings want to be rid of that awful contract without retaining any salary or bringing back another bad contract they will have to make a trade with someone like Buffalo where the Kings trade MR and a 2nd and get back a 4th. NHL teams employ scouts, they are seeing the same things you and I are seeing, no one is going to touch this guy unless they are compensated for it. He has negative value.

It was incredibly selfish, but again considering it was Logan Couture it's not surprising. He will follow in the footsteps of Patty and Jumbo Joe with nothing but a bunch of empty points to show for his NHL career.

Can't wait to see Logan crying on twitter again this spring after the Guppies are again dusted off in the playoffs.

The 2nd goal he got was a charity goal by a rule definition. Carter wouldve dragged him around the ice before he was going to let him get the empty netter.

Clifford is playing well, that's a plus this year for the bottom six. Shore has looked fine, he just needs to speed up his game a little.

Quick was tracking the puck well tonight, but the PK is a mess (really bad)

Last year, 2 wins in 10 heading into the Olympic break with 8 straight wins out of it. Let's all keep the hyperventilation to a minimum."

1 point out of the playoffs....3 out of second place with 35
games left to go. Obviously if we keep playing like this it's time to take our ball and go home, but that's a significant amount of time.

Also, as a reminder, our spots in the standings on Jan 21stst last few years:

Jan21st 2015: 47 games, 20-15-12, 52 points, 9th in conference
Jan21st 2014: 51 games, 29-16-6, 64 points, 6th in conference
Jan21st 2013: Er, 1 game, 0-1-0, 0 points
Jan21st 2012: 49 games, 23-16-10, 56 points, 7th in conference
Jan21st 2011: 47 game, 24-22-1, 49 points, 12th in conference

In other words, even though we arrive there in different ways, this is pretty much our M.O.!

Losing Voynov is the crippler to our defensive unit. Mitchell is missed surely but I think that if we had a combination of Voynov McNabb and a healthy Regher all playing we wouldn't be missing Mitchell so much. Losing Toffoli and Pearson right around the same time as each other is a big hit too.

Obviously the loss of Voynov is a hit. I have no doubt Dean will make a move to bolster the defense.

That 2012 team couldn't score at all, truly amazing they had 23 wins by then.

Quick dragged that team to the playoff's, deserved the Hart and Vezina that year.

The problem is that many are in the lounge car and are still enjoying the free drinks, and are content with the view.
