Kings played like ****. Ducks have to be the luckiest team in the league. Not mutually exclusive things. Just an observation.

Hope these guys are as pissed off as I am. Throwing away points now is an abortion.

Now I'm doubly upset quick didn't play tonight. Divisional opponent.

This was a trash effort by the Kings. Last game was bad luck and running into a hot goalie, tonight was just a team that was outplayed significantly for most of the game.

I have no idea what Sutter is doing not pulling the goaltender when the team had clear possession of the puck with 1:30 left and our best offensive players on the ice, very strange coaching decision there.

That really bothers me....take so ****ing long.

Let's be reality. Kings didn't deserve this game.

I posted this about four games into the winning streak, but it's disturbing how reliant this team is on the Carter line for offense. Carter has been our first line center in everything but name only, Toffoli our top winger by a large gulf.

When those two aren't going, this team doesn't win a lot of games. Kopitar and Gaborik together have reinforced the old soft Euro floater adage this season, more often than not.

I'm with ya!!

Where has that dominate Kopitar gone?He seems like a ghost out there?Williams and Carter have to finish their chances..

Let's face it, we got owned the entire night. The 2-0 lead was truly a red herring.

I agree, but when you have a 2-0 lead after 2, even if it's lucky you have to man up and finish the job. You at the absolute very least have to get the game to OT. You can't come away with nothing.

Not really, the Ducks sucked worse the first two periods. Problem is they had reserve energy and the kings didn't.

Not sure which game you were watching. Outside of a couple of failed breakaways and one notable turnover early in the third, I didn't see a whole lot of quality Kings chances.

And how many did the ducks have?

That's the Kings this season though.

They have blown more third period leads this season, then the last two seasons combined.

It's like in the movie Miracle when the Russian coach doesnt know when to pull the goalie. They had total control for 30 seconds, then Jones comes out. WTF was Sutter and the bench doing?:shakehead:amazed:

I must have missed all the shots and the goals the ducks scored in the first two periods. Really, the panic on this board is ridiculous.

I'm guessing you don't know too much about hockey. Just looking at the scorecard and determining whether someone "won" a period because they happened to have one more goal than the other team can mean very little.

Why am I bothering to explain it?

Nah, the ones that hurt this year are the New Jersey loss, the Florida loss, and last night to a certain extent. Even the Edmonton loss didn't bug me that much; at least we got a point out of it.

Losing to the third best regular season team in the league? No shame in that.

Yup. Sums it up.

Losing to crappy teams is what hurts. As mentally tough as this team is it sure has lapses of weakness.

We can get all excited about that winning streak and everything, but if this team misses the playoffs, it will be very much deserved.

Blowing leads like tonight was something which NEVER happened, even all the way back in 2010 when we were still green and climbing the ladder. This season, it's a common occurrence.

Unless Carter and Toffoli are hot, the team is not scoring. Another aberration.

Throw in the problems on D and there you go. A season pretty much no one saw coming.

Williams and Stoll are as good as gone next year, probably for the better. Let Toffoli take the reins of top RW on the team.

And it's sad when you have more faith in a line of Clifford-Shore-Nolan to pot a goal than Stoll's line. Guy is just abysmal.
