What I'm liking about the current roster is the depth we have. In seasons past, when the team were missing players to the WJT, they would build a cushion of points, knowing that a few losses were inevitable,, until their players returned. Not so, this season ! In spite of missing ( probably the most players) the team kept up a winning % with the remaining players. It illustrated the strength of London's depth, and provided confidence to those players that they could hold their own, in the absence of key guys. It's cool when those players have proven to the coaching staff that they can be depended upon when really needed. It bodes well going into the playoffs, that the 3rd line is now capable of outplaying the opposition's depth players.

Sometimes in the playoffs, a #1 line can be negated through tight checking. OK, should that situation arise, how do opponents counter depth players stepping up and contributing ? My point is that this team has DEPTH, and that'll rise to importance when needed

Fleeced is an understatement ..... all I can say is WTF haha. Saginaw fans can not chirp any deal London ever makes again and can not bring up any past deals with Niagara, holy.
People conveniently forget that London absorbed negative assets in Copeland and O’Flaherty (gold packages) which is why those deals looked worse on the surface to the casual OHL fan/London hater.

As far as Kingston goes, oh well. They agreed to make these deals with Saginaw. These are adults making trades. Hope it works for them and they upset Barrie. Can’t stand Williamson. If I’m London, and these are market value prices for rentals, I’m turning the phone off and relaxing.

it’s been relatively quiet trade deadline. London, Barrie, Kingston, Oshawa have all made strong moves. Brampton made moves all year….im talking about the tinkering trades, of mid range teams. Even the bottom teams “bailing”…only Saginaw and Guelph have started dismantling for asset recouping.
I still think teams like Sarnia, Flint, Owen Sound, Brantford, Sudbury, and even the likes of Niagara are yet to make moves.
Calm before the storm?
And I’ll say it again…Luchanko or McCue please 😊

The prices have really gone up. Maybe a plan B for a solid depth player like McCue is the best add for an already solid and bonded Knights team. The WJC period showed the depth, confidence and coaching the team has. Make this team an underdog in the eyes of the “experts” and they will only be motivated.

While the best roster does not always win, you should probably have a look at the colts roster.
Oshawa has playoff experience. They know how to win and they are extremely motivated. My money is they are in the ohl finals. They have more high end talent.

Just doing the tally on the trades and acquisitions so far for the knights, I think management did an outstanding job. We gained:

Cam Allen (WJC level NHL Drafted)
Austin Elliott (WHL Championship Level)
Blake Montgomery (NHL Drafted)
Adoni Fimis (Solid late bloomer, 5th round OHL)
Liam Spencer
6th
Jesse Nurmi (WJC NHL drafted)*

Lost:
Noah Jenken (66 Overall, 4th round)
Blake Arrowsmith (55 Overall 3rd round)
Kaeden Johnston (96 Overall, 5th round)
Alec Leonard
2nd round
2nd round
4th
5th
5th
7th

*Nurmi doesn't really count as a trade or acquisition but still notable addition to the team for free.

I very much disagree with the more high end talent assertion. And the colts have a line that has been to three consecutive conference finals, twice game 7, very likely willing to do whatever it takes to win with their final chance.
