All you've gotta do is look at his Twitter as if he's the Jack Edwards of the OHL. Definitely biased, finds a way to spin every single thing as a positive for his team - but it makes sense because like Jack Edwards did for so many years at NESN, he's pandering to the Gens audience.

At the end of the day it's just entertainment - and for as questionable as some of the takes are I do find myself masochistically keep checking in (especially this year as a Kingston fan...)

Okay so my feelings on this are:

19 games straight - awesome and something to be proud of, but this team is not like the Team of the century. Not the same lockdown style or dominance.

For Oshawa this was a statement game. They needed it as they were so pissed about the finals and how it went (sweep).

I am confused as to how the boys couldn’t do anything after Cowan was injured. It’s unfortunate and I hope they can figure it out. Dale should have called a timeout at 3-3 or 3-4. Also shouldn’t have played Bonk and Dickinson together when Brzustewicz was hurt. That killed some of the momentum. Also shouldn’t have played have shuffled the lines.

I have noticed a lot of knights players seem to not be ‘right’ yet. Like not having similar level of seasons as last season (Cowan, Bonk, Barkey, Julien, O’Reilly) I expect dominance every night from those guys. I expect them to score at at the minimum a point per game pace and for guys like Cowan and Barkey they should be at 100-120 point paces. I expect more from Nurmi as well. I have liked Montgomerys surge. He is good. Not sure what to expect from Sim, but I think a game like tonight’s was when he could have shown his value and lit the fire under them. He could have brought the energy.

This game vs Oshawa better have woken the lion that this Knights team can be. The 19 game win streak is nice and all, but they really need to take it to another level.

If Mark can he should make a trade for a D. They need a shutdown guy. The D is good, but could be great with a shutdown guy. I realized how Woolley and Brz are next years top pair, but I’d say right now they should be the #4 and #5 instead of the #3 and #4. Gibson would be ideal. We have the players to move and won’t trade Hawery so I don’t see why we don’t get it done. He should not command a 2008.

I am disappointed that we couldn’t get the all time winning streak, but this team really needs to go out there and show us what they truly got cause they sure have the potential to win it all. They need to use this game as the fuel for a new streak. Dale NEEDS to get them ready for a gauntlet of games without the big guns. We need to be good during this time. O’Reilly needs to prove why he’s a 1st rounder. Most teams don’t have a guy like that just there. He needs to be a game breaker. Some Q teams don’t even have a player close to the level of O’Reilly and they look amazing. He needs to show why he’s a NHL 1st rounder.

Honestly liking forward to seeing this next chapter of the season. I hope this team improves. If they do what they are able to. LOOK OUT!

GO KNIGHTS GO

Hopefully Boulton isn’t suspended for March 2nd, Need some guys looking over their shoulders and thinking twice about what they are doing.
Maybe he can give Sandhu some of his own medicine or better yet Danford. I want to see someone knock him on his ass!

They were crazy good? .. 64.8% is a very good faceoff %.. not sure what more you want, but we know your expectations are high. Not sure how Cowan or Barkey should be expected to get 100 points considering both missed a bunch of time and will miss a bunch more.

100 point pace!

100 point pace!

@Otto do you agree that this team has more to give?

Another question. Does anyone know the status of Cowan? Can he still play WJC?

100 point pace!
100 point pace is 1.47 points in a 68 game season

Cowan is 1.4
Barkey 1.35

Both players were away from the team for a while at the beginning of the season. Cowan has been hurt, and Barkey has been sick

Since the beginning of November Barkey is 1.67 points per game, Cowan 1.5

Lighten up, Francis

He's not eating through a straw, he's drinking from the J. Ross Robertson Cup
Mem cup is better but what would I know- I’m a fronts fan lol

I think he’s funny as hell but a tool sometimes. Wish we had a fronts insider like that lol

Wasn’t watching game.

Who hit Cowan? Obviously Cowan hurt and left game- did the other guy who hit him leave game and come back? Who was it?

Sandhu hit him, both left afterwards. Sandhu got cut on Cowans visor, needed stitches. My guess Cowan got a concussion.

Seemed like clean hitting and a well earned win by Oshawa. Only caught parts of the game.

@LDN , it’s a development league. Try to relax, lol. I do agree that some individual performances are lacking to this point. But it’s not that big of a deal. You can’t win every game or every year.

Temper expectations. Not every game is a "must win". Stay in the present, one game at a time. All the prognostications of putting games in the win column before they're played and post trade deadline lineups serves no purpose. We're dealing with teenagers here, pretty much the definition of inconsistency. Simply donning a Knight's jersey doesn't suddenly change any of this.

The fifth longest winning streak in OHL history is pretty consistent

From my observation. It would good for the Knights to see what kind of level they need to get to compete with Oshawa.

Probably one of their best game of the year and they didn’t have Oster.

Our PP has to match theirs. They capitalized on theirs, we need to be crisper on ours. Not that I’m singling him out, but if Dickinson if he is gonna play the point on the PP, better passes to Halttunen and Cowan will go a long way. So many times this year they have been off and they haven’t been able to shoot clean. Thank goodness we have Barkey.

Secondly, we missed having Ryder in this game. We may need to find another Max McCue that can lay the checks on the forcheck and really help us with physicality. Sim and Bolton remind me of Marchand and Domi. Not exactly clean physical players. Max McCue was…..anybody have any idea who is a great bodychecker in the league?

Thirdly, our goalies are fine but they aren’t gonna bail us out of games if we have a defensive blunder, we just have to be better defensively, but Oshawa’s offense is elite. Maybe this helps London realize we need Andrew Gibson.

And lastly don’t get me started on Jacob Julien lol. He looks unmotivated and lost out there. Clearly evident that when he was centering Barkey and Cowan that they carried him most of the season last year.

1000% agree
Boulton is a difference maker. Team played scared after the two hits.
Julien….wow, time to move on. OA’s need to be better.
Team needs another dman. 49 is not an OHL player, simple as that.
Also not starting anything here but generals updates is a twitter troll with a giant ego…for anyone who hasn’t seen him on twitter.
