Funny you mention that as I am the first to admit I really haven’t watched either to intently as they get / got so little ice time. But when I wrote it I had this feeling that my first thoughts last season were that the younger was the better hockey player? Anyway if that’s the case to bad as right now with the talent depth on this years team I think he will find himself on the outside looking in fairly soon if he continues to run around.
I agree....his game is lacking. To busy trying to be "that guy" instead of just playing a team game. I know guys have their rolls but if he would just play the game that got him here he'd be much more valuable.

If my math is correct they were 44-10 with him in the lineup last year (reg season + playoffs) and 23-11 with him out
Thanks! I didn’t want to do the math on last year, this year was much easier haha.

That is a pretty substantial difference though in a year and a half sample size!

I saw on the Chl website under articles a Generals player wearing a sombrero Didn’t we start that as a London thing? Or is this something lots of teams do ???

I know it’s been a London thing for years now

Sue who used to lead the fan club started it before at Ice House. Memory serves me correctly Dino Ciccerelli wore it.

McCue was chatting and joking with Knights players all game because he trains in London with Max.

Knights should definitely trade for him.

Tonight is the start of running the gauntlet, Oshawa (20W)-Windsor (21W)-Windsor (22W)-Kitchener (23W)-Erie (24W)... If we are going to drop a game it would be in this stretch but I believe there is enough talent on this team to step up and keep it going if we make it past tonight.

Oshawa should be a good test with some pissed off players that didn't get the call up to WJC..... need to come out flying tonight and hold the fort.

After tonight the lines should look like:

Montgomery O'Reilly Nicholl
Van Gorp Julien Sim
Van Bommel Read Hawery
Aboflan Bidgood Gerber
Boulton*

Wooley Brzustewicz
Fagn Jenken
Spencer Mitchell

This stretch of games coming with missing our best 6 players is a blessing in disguise. It will give Hunter time to find the players to earn a spot on the 4th line. I think we go 2-2 over the next 4 games. Goalies will really get tested with mostly young defense. If we can stay within 4 points of first after 9 games without WJ players ...Knights should strech lead after Xmas.

Oshawa will be one of our biggest tests. Let’s hope the boys are ready to play!

Didn’t someone already prove me wrong and say that LDN’s Team Canada invite players are leaving Monday?

So still fingers crossed we have a full roster. Oshawa rested Oster the other night so he’d be ready against London.

It would be sick to pump oster like the playoffs, but I imagine Oshawa will be extremely motivated!

Would Dale Hunter be considered for the coaching job in Chicago? I know they just named an interim, but still…. I know that Megan Hunter is an AGM there

Dale could have had several NHL jobs over the years, he chooses to stay in London because he enjoys junior hockey.

I’d be surprised, at this point in his career to see him leave. But never say never I suppose.

I agree. I figured the connections are strong with Chicago

Trade Deadline: I will put this out but we need a defenseman. 1 or maybe 2. Who would give up and who is out there that you like?

For me, Andrew Gibson but I don’t like giving up our prospects as they are progressing so well.

Van Bommel
Bidgood
1x2nd
2x3rd
1x4th
1x5th

That would be a fair trade. I wonder if Soo would want a D back like Fagen for example.

The Soo wouldn’t do that. You have to add a lot more picks or put Read in it. You can’t get teams’ best players for spare parts.
I’d swap out Bidgood and swap in Read to get it done. I think Gibson would really solidify this D

this what i posted in the Soo thread. and it's only my opinion haha but it's what i'd start at.

If hawery is off the table, Noah Reed would have to be on the table as he's your only 07 lol. but being a 10th rounder, it'd have to involve some picks as well. and if Gibby makes WJC, then that would add another pick or two. if Hawery was included, maybe less picks. I see Gibson as a Jorian Donovan type pickup. Great defensively, pretty good offensively with a cannon of a shot, but huge and very fast. plus he's a righty, which is a hot commodity.

i'd start at
- Read
- 2nd '25
- 2nd '26 NB
- 3rd '25 SAR
- 3rd '26 FLNT
- 4th '27 ERIE

If Hawery is on the table, i'd drop one of the 2nds, and the 4th.

that's what i'd ask for anyway.

But if i were you, i'd ask about a package deal that would be Gibson/Allard and take Julien or Sim. er...not Sim haha. not sure that'd go over well.

but you could one stop shop with the Hounds. Gibson and Allard would be a great add. also, just my opinion
