Thansk, i take it as a solid 2way guy ideally, interesting as we’ve had seth jones, lindell to matta/6thD. Hopefully he keeps developing that speed of execution. Looking forward to seeing his role on that WJC

Yeah i mean i’ve been watching prospect for a while so i took it as ‘lite’ more a style comp. while im on your board, isaiah george is a guy that surprised me with his Nhl play this year
 
The Jones comparison was at the same age in junior and playing style. I remember watching him in the memorial cup, he was big and generally well rounded, not great offensively and for a big guy didn’t get overly physical but was just solid.

I see Bonk as similar, he will keep getting bigger. Having met Radek 6’2” 210, Oliver should continue to fill out and build strength. Overall he is just good at everything.

I have a weird feeling that this is basically our “big trade deadline acquisition”. 06 born and should do well as a bottom pair RHD. Unfortunately no Andrew Gibson for us… :(

Buckle in folks! This is what Mark is running with.

Maybe, maybe not. There's too many bodies, somethings gotta give. Still kinda want to solidify the d. Maybe the hunters think we are set though

I think the good thing is, we get to see what Fimis can do in the top 4, maybe even top 2, while Dickinson and Bonk are away at WJs. That will give Mark almost 10 games to really see what he has outside of his big guns. If Fimis comes in and is that guy, great, free upgrade. If he isn't he picks up the phone.

I don't know anything about Fimis, to say if he will or will not be that guy. But I have to think that is Mark's thinking and who knows, we could still add a guy like Gibson after the WJ and roll with Jenken as 7th D and then Fagan or Spencer beyond that. I would assume one of them gets moved though if a deal happens for another D.

With what Rob Simpson says near the bottom of the article we have held our players back but if its legal we will let our guys engage in those hits. This could get ugly if the OHL does not do any anything about the hit. You will not be able to suspend someone who does the same hit

Seem to remember last season a similar hit when your referring to height that Lawrence thru. Got booted and a 5 game suspension, Sandu took a run. He was also high. You see Cowboys head go back Sandu also got a cut in his face from Eastons visor so his shoulder was at least at Eastons chin level
. Not even a 2 minute penalty? Cmon
100% knight player would be 5 and games , Also look at caspers suspension , every ohl game there is a penalty for check in the back or boarding. 2 minutes then carry on with the game . Kasper gets 5 and a suspension, that was ridiculous. They better figure things out .

I mean, if Fimis comes as advertised, that looks pretty solid. You can also mix and match with two righties at once depending on matchups, context of the game, etc.
And he didn’t cost any bodies or draft capital which is highly important to London’s competitive nature every season.

Anybody have link to OHL Draft pick database? What a great thing it was but link I had went bad. Whoever put that together did a lot of work.

Unfortunately sports like hockey, football, rugby etc. are rough and players get hurt from time to time. And predatory hits are part of the game until such time as the leagues change their rules. In this case we can only hope that Easton Cowan recovers and can play in the WJC.

Apparently Jessi Nurmi didn’t get invited :( but I don’t have a link to prove it.

Kinda hoping it’s not true, and he at least gets invited.

Didn’t see anything wrong with the hit either. But the OHL usually hates injuries on any body contact. Spits Ethan Martin got three games for a head check that knocked a Ranger out cold. Somehow that is not as bad as Halttunen’s four gamer weeks ago. Ahhh, why bother.

As Rob Simpson alluded to, the Knights will be throwing big hits now

Looking forward to seeing Fimis show what he’s got. Lots of available ice time with no Dickinson or Bonk
