We all know he would be getting top line minutes he’s an absolute stud + if you want to talk about development & getting more ice time I got that covered here - knights will probably play more 20 games in playoffs then Guelph will that’s alot of extra ice time and games that is big for development

The fact that London is his hometown, and developing chemistry with Barkey would make it a good fit, if Mark wants to make a big move/pay. A mutually beneficial deal sees Luchanko centering Barkey and Cowan and Hawery being reunited with his Barrie teammate McLean. Luchanko was also ranked by the league coaches as the most sportsmanlike player in the league, he's gotten a lot of kudos from the Flyers for his maturity, plays a good 200 ft game. If traded, he's potentially the biggest fish at the deadline, meaning Hawery is dealt.... George isn't DD/Niagara.

No idea if Hawery would waive his NTC, but Mark will find a way to make the deal. No issues

100% agree with this. Luchanko’s playmaking replaces what Gazizov gave us with the best vision and playmaking on the team.

If we give them Hawery, we need to try to get Cam Allen as well. Solid two-way defenseman with better point production than what George gave us. Maybe not as solid as George defensively but a solid top 4 D

We all know Dale rides his top 9 players come playoffs and he rides his top 4 D as well.

A line of Barkey - Luchanko - Cowan would light the league on fire 🔥🔥

No to moving Hawery, reading all of the scouting reports from a few years ago and passing the eye test by yours truly, he is a very special player.

In a redraft he would be a top 10 pick. We can’t get that every draft. The last time we traded a top talent as a 16 year old was Christian Thomas…. I don’t see them doing that again.

Hawery is a future star. If we manage to do this without moving him our future is bright!

I like that type of move. Remind me is Allen one of the best defenders in the league or more of a puckmover?
I think he would fit in well with how the Knights like to defend. He's mobile. Definitely not the Jacob Graves type that has been talked about here in other posts...

I can’t see a world where we get Luchanko without giving up Hawery. A different team will likely offer up an 08 for him.
Thank you! The Guelph Storm are a first class organization. George Burnett is a friend of the Hunters and a darn good builder of teams in the OHL. He’s not getting bent over by London for his star player.

Exactly, the Bulldogs could offer more picks and O’Donnell and we would be SOL.

The only thing that works in our favour is that Hawery played with McLean and tore it up in Barrie, and Jett Luchanko can control his destination a bit more having a NTC.

That’s why it would be a perfect match if Hawery can be convinced to go to Guelph.

I like Luchanko, but I do not think the we seriously have anywhere close to the pieces in order to get him unless we are mortgaging a giant part of our future. Would it be nice for this season, yes absolutely. But I can already see the Knights fickle fans crying when the team is below .500 next year because of it.
I think he is better than Luca Testa, but if I had to do that trade again, I would trade Testa.

Now Hawery is better than Testa, for sure but I can confidently say that the Knights won that trade.

Also, don’t forget that Jaxon Cover will likely be a Knight next year and he will usher part of our new era of Knights hockey for the next couple years.

We should be fine if we pull off the trade.

Our lines could be fine:

Nurmi (maybe) - O’Rielly - Luchanko
Van Gorp - Nichol - Cover
Boulton - Read - Van Bommel
Gerber - Mews - Bidgood

Woolley - Brzustewicz
Jenken - Spencer
Mitchell - 1st round pick

Still missing pieces in Arrowsmith, Fagan, and Semenov

Do you think Mark is looking at a potential trade for the Storm and Philadelphia's benefit, or for his club's ? It would be ideal for Luchenko to come to London, how is it beneficial to London, does London in need of Luchenko, deals are made every day, how does it certify Bonk, Barkey and Luchenko will not be traded by the time they reach next level? London is not looking from the Flyer's future point of view, the only plus that could land Luchenko in London is the fact he's a right-hand shot, will it be enough to convince Mark?

I would not expect Luchanko or Nurmi who is AHL eligible to be back next year. Luchanko played 4 NHL games this year for a reason.

We would have one good line Nicholl, O'Reilly, Van Gorp and then 3 meh at best lines. Would be a .500 team at best unless Medvedev stands on his head most nights which he would certainly be capable of.

Guessing Stone cold gets both starts?

I am hoping for a split as Alexei earned a start this weekend from his play on Saturday in my opinion...but you are probably correct

I dont think it was the agents misconduct that got Formenton banned from the NHL. Is this guy for real?
If true, I despise the actions taken by Formenton and his teammates. The law will protect both the free man and the accused, until such time it is proven otherwise in a court of law

He's only an accused man until the very moment a court of law say he's guilty, up until that moment and before, including the years dated in his lawsuit, he is not a convicted man. The question should have been, "Is this law for real?" Maybe someone has a better clarification and understanding than I
