correct, its another player.

if im a gm, and i have another gm saying 'i agree to this trade, this is the value i have for this player', and it falls through based on a no-trade of another player, then im not sure why that value doesnt hold. i dont think that just because london doesnt agree to the value doesnt mean that another tream doesnt.

itll get sorted im sure once the no trade gets worked out
Respectfully, I'm inclined to disagree with this premise. If an experienced GM agrees to a trade, this automatically sets the value that every other GM in the league has to honour and adhere to ? What if that GM is a rookie and has proven toward making questionable trades ? I have great difficulty in accepting such an assertion. Most GM's in this league do not allow other GM's to speak for them, or establish how they value players.

I can't see London making any big deals after the Lawrence deal. There really isn't anybody our there that stands out and you are going to pay way too much. Hunter did a good job last year filling what we needed without effecting the future. Seems most of the deals so far are in the other conference.

I wouldn't view any deal for Lawrence from a need or want perspective. At the deadline a team with a surplus OA will try to move that player to a team with an opening. It's more about finding a spot for a player to finish their career on the ice somewhere/anywhere as opposed to being let go as the odd one out.
^ this. Usually the other way round., London finds spots elsewhere for player they cast off.

Not sure on the accuracy of the report but hearing Beck vetoed a deal to Saginaw. If that’s true, then there’s your reason why it was reported 4 days ago and hasn’t happened. Wouldn’t be the first time a Petes player said “London or bust”. (Austin Watson)
Love to get him but not at the expense of O’Rielly.

Re:Lawrence. Seems like a deal made just for the sake of making a deal. Not excited about this trade at all. The guys big, but slow and tends to take a lot of penalties. Just doesn't seem to fit this team. I guess we'll see

Yeah, not really sure how he’ll fit with London’s up tempo game.

Hunts should call old pal George in Guelph and see if he’ll help out.

No I certainly watch the whole 2 mins....no one else gets on the ice other than sometimes O'Reilly and Bonk will change. Everyone else is out there for it all in most cases!
This trade may help to change that

Lawrence, who can play centre or wing, has won 234 faceoffs so far since the beginning of this season for Ottawa, that is why he's heading to London where the needs is
