just because mark doesnt like the price, doesnt mean the price is out of whack.

If the price is two 2nds and a 3rd, I think the price is out of whack. If The price is a 2nd and two 3rds, and Mark doesn’t like the price then I agree.

how do you know there are no takers? I believe that he has been traded once unofficially but a no trade got in the way.
I honestly don't, but I do find it difficult to believe that an unofficial trade somehow counts as an actual bona-fide trade.

it means one side agreed to the value with the other, and a clarical issue prevented it from happening. in that instance, value is determined and was not a stumbling block to the completion of a deal

that deal may still go through as well, im not sure if the no trade is something that can be worked on.

The potential deal to Saginaw was posted by Jeff Marek on Thursday so it is only been four days.

It is very possible he could be a fall back plan should they not get anything else done.

With respect to Peer, I think the market price has been set. Either Bowler gets in line with the market or he holds him. No one is paying well over market price for him. There are others out there. It is not like I see anyone dishing out two 2nds and a 3rd.
I don't think Peer goes for more than Kressler, could be totally wrong. But Kressler is a 200 foot player and solid on the dot, with a scoring touch.

Photoshop of Beck in Knights Jersey lol

Nicholl, Johnston and picks… I doubt they move O’Reilly, HB or Moore’s rights
Petes would want O’Reilly. Johnston doesn’t fit the petes timeline.

What is the potential price for KL?
If London brings him in and pays anything more than an 8th its an overpay. Ottawa paid that to bring him in in the first place, and they have 4 OA's now so one must go...

So, in the end, if this deal is prevented and isn't consummated, then value hasn't really been established. I firmly believe that renewed bargaining between other suitors will ultimately establish what the actual "value" is......when the deal is confirmed by the league.
I'm assuming that Peer isn't the individual exercising a "no trade clause" ? If that's the case, it speaks to the reluctance of another player wanting to avoid playing in Windsor, no ?

I wouldn't view any deal for Lawrence from a need or want perspective. At the deadline a team with a surplus OA will try to move that player to a team with an opening. It's more about finding a spot for a player to finish their career on the ice somewhere/anywhere as opposed to being let go as the odd one out.

True and he will help us in our top 9, but we would have ideally got a top 6 C

correct, its another player.

if im a gm, and i have another gm saying 'i agree to this trade, this is the value i have for this player', and it falls through based on a no-trade of another player, then im not sure why that value doesnt hold. i dont think that just because london doesnt agree to the value doesnt mean that another tream doesnt.

itll get sorted im sure once the no trade gets worked out

Lawrence will fit right in on the 3rd line...worst case he is a big body vet that plays on the 4th line.

Agree with @LDN absolutely zero chance O'Reilly moves even if it is the demand from the Petes for Beck. I like Beck, but with how some of these other teams have solidified their rosters over the last week I doubt he is going to put this team over the top.

Who do you think our next target is?

Top 9 of O’Reilly, Barkey, Halts, Cowan, Sim, McCue, Lawrence, Julien and Nichol(?)

Do we make a move to get Nichol on to the 4th line?

I actually like Nichol's game personally...I would like to see some more production but he has been playing solid defensively and brings more physicality then I thought he would.

I think they bring in like you said earlier a D man of some sort and that will be it. Johnston is the odd man out I think with the emergence of the rest of these guys.

Barkey-Julien-Gaz
Cowan-McCue-Halts
Sim-O'Reilly-Lawrence
Van Gorp-Nichol-Boulton

you can flip flop 2 and 3 C to your liking...
