Anyone have a video of this scrap? My Rogers tv was inactive tonight so couldn’t watch … but according to stuff I read, it was quite the tilt.
100% not his son. He has 3 sons and they all played out of the US. Maybe a cousin but I doubt it.Can anyone confirm if Jared Woolley is related to ex-NHL'er Jason Woolley?
I was thinking this as well. Not a bad move to trade a graduating D to shore up the Forwards.I would not be shocked to see London move a bigger name D man for a forward. IMO Bonk and Dickinson are untouchable, but a couple of the others may not be back next year anyways. Knowing London has Fagan, Wooley, & Jenkin all in JR B playing very good. Ustinkov in Europe. Mackinnon possibly coming back soon. Might be the only way to get enough assets to noticeably improve the forward group.
Only one I could find. Great tilt. League is so soft sspd them 3 games. Who gives a damn they talked about it before. Doesn't impact anyone else & both teams absolutely loved it as did the fans.
Media plays a major part in the anti fighting cause. Especially media that covers hockey. You ask most of these same media guys why they like MMA or boxing (those that like it and many do) and they can’t give you a solid answer. Here is something very popular among most sport fans but is very politically unpopular with our politicians.
Boxing - Wrestling - UFC - Summo - Fencing but not hockey fights and yet is so popular with other sports. Why hockey fights is so wrong again, fights in hockey are there believe it or not are for star player protections, seems only hockey players and it's fans truly understands that. how many got hurt fighting through the years, maybe of the last 5 years only Logan Mailloux got injured while fighting. Players can't settle their scores with their knuckles so out comes the high sticks the slashing the heavy boarding hits the after whistle wrestling, and how many open ice hit to the head have we witnessed since weeding out the fightings. They take out fighting and the game is getting dirtier by the season. Seems like every team now are going after star players, I mean why not, how many are getting ran over trying to get the good players out of the game or knock him out of a playoff series. What is a five minute or a suspension to a fourth liner if he got the best player out of the game or the series. If it hasn't happened yet, the way players are carrying on now without the fighting it will happen give it some time.
I don't know why I like the toe to toe hockey so much, maybe for my own experience in my young days or maybe because I remember Al Secord and Brad Marsh fighting hard nose to nose like mad twice in a game against each others and meeting up at centre ice after the game to shake hands. How about if our politicians stay out of our game, it's would be safer for our players this way, I know true hockey fans wants it that way.. ! IMHO

Very true !Media plays a major part in the anti fighting cause. Especially media that covers hockey. You ask most of these same media guys why they like MMA or boxing (those that like it and many do) and they can’t give you a solid answer.
Motivating and entertaining is part of the game, staged or not, it did that very purpose in last night game.Because staged fights are not part of the game. This isn't a new rule, it's why they put a limit on fights years ago.
It's a sideshow. It's not hockey. If you enjoy teenagers giving each other brain damage knock yourself out.Motivating and entertaining is part of the game, staged or not, it did that very purpose in last night game.
I knew someone was going to go there. It's a sideshow. It's not hockey. If you enjoy teenagers giving each other brain damage knock yourself out.
It always was part of this game, only in this last decade they have been trying to taking it out of it, it is still part of this game, go back and watch last night game, it was very much part of it in that one, it was motivating for the players on both teams and it was entertaining for all hockey fans of both teamsIt's a sideshow. Who the f*** cares? Weird that the OHL is supposedly the softest league in North America but the Q has tougher fighting rules and the NCAA doesn't have fighting at allI knew someone was going to go there.
This three fight rule has this league considered the softest league in North America. That’s not me talking. That’s directly from the mouths of NHL scouts I’ve talked to.
It isn't part of the game. When was the last time a staged fight was called? It always was part of the game, only in this last decade they have been trying to taking it out of it, it is still part of this game, go back and watch last night game, it was very much part of it in that one, it was motivating for the players on both teams and it was entertaining for all hockey fans of both teams
Last night at the 6:28 mark of the first between London Boulton and OS Stewart, that's when, see still part of the game.Who the f*** cares? Weird that the OHL is supposedly the softest league in North America but the Q has tougher fighting rules and the NCAA doesn't have fighting at all

Maybe I'm wrong in connecting dots here and I may have the time frame wrong also. But didn't the OHL bring in the 3 fight rule in the off-season after a player from Windsor was always in the media about wanting to be in 50 fights or so that previous season.Media plays a major part in the anti fighting cause. Especially media that covers hockey. You ask most of these same media guys why they like MMA or boxing (those that like it and many do) and they can’t give you a solid answer.
Yup. That would be the Ty Bilcke rule. He boasted that he wanted to hit 50 fights that year and the Windsor media ran with it, celebrating it.Maybe I'm wrong in connecting dots here and I may have the time frame wrong also. You asked, I answered so knock yourself out. !Before that.
You knew exactly what I meant. But thanks for proving my pointYou asked, I answered so knock yourself out. !
It’s like they because in boxing and ufc for instance they get paid to fight and know all the problems they can face in the future. With hockey it’s not so much part of the game as it was 30 years ago and that’s because people are smarter nowadays trying to eliminate cte from players. I don’t think they’ll ever ban it in the nhl but with junior players they don’t even get paid for fighting they get a weekly allowance and that’s it I believe. (Unless you’re Niagara or Windsor and you try and find your way around things LOL) so it makes sense for them to limit fighting. Eventually it will be taken out of the junior ranks they’re doing it with baby steps so it won’t cause as much of an uproar. It doesn’t happen in the NCAA I believe and the Q just banned it obviously. I’m sure the whl, ohl, and ushl will soon follow in the next few years. Here is something very popular among most sport fans but is very politically unpopular with our politicians.
