I don’t think we will see Hattunen back. I’m pretty positive he is a one and done. I think he could score 20-goals in the AHL and they can continue to develop him.
He has a lot to work on to develop his game.

He doesn't have the 5on5 ability to play in the AHL yet. Sure he could pot a few power play one-timers, but he hasn't been a factor this season at even strength.
He’s gonna score 40+ goals this year. They can work on the on the 5v5 in the ahl. Nothing left for him to learn in the OHL offensively. He can learn all the defensive stuff in the AHL.

40 goals and 20 assists because he struggles to create his own offence. He can one-time on the powerplay and little else. Playing at a lower level is better for him to develop a broader array of offensive skills.

Because the Hunters are smart, and they knew Wright had already checked out of the league. Clearly lol.
No, they were all over trying to get Wright. They just couldn't get the player Kingston wanted to move. Wright was just under 2 points a game so he was not " checked out". London was trying to get him up to the end so Hunters were smart, they new the value and wanted him.

Beck's faceoff ability would be a great add though. Faceoffs have been a bit of a challenge this season so far...
I agree Beck would be a Welcome addition to all teams intending to go for broke this season. Although there is plenty of time to show a more consistent team I am getting the feeling this isn't a "Go For It" Knights team. Something is missing and a few to many areas to try and fix. Not to mention we really are not stocked up on picks etc to make the trades we need to. Maybe try and sell off a few pieces (maybe Simpson for example?) and move on for next season?

Looking at next year roster, probable vs potential.

Probable:

Barkey Cowan Halttunen (all 19 year olds should be back)
Sim(OA) Julien(OA) O’Rielly
Nicholl Arrowsmith Van Gorp
Boulton Johnston Van Bommel
(1st rounder)

Bonk Dickinson
Leonard(OA) Brzustewicz
Wholley Fagan

Potential:

Barkey Cowan Halttunen
O’Rielly Hagens Moore
Sim Julien Nicholl
Van Gorp Johnston Arrowsmith

Bonk Dickinson
Brzustewicz Ustinkov
Leonard Whooley
(1st rounder) Fagan

Willmore
Medvedev
The "Potential" lineup, as always could be insane if they can get a couple players to show up. The more I look into it, the less i believe we see Hagens show up, but if he does, he is the top line center without a question.

Also don't forget about forward prospects like Gerber, Bidgood. & defense prospects like Jenken & Fagan. From what I have seen this year I believe all of them have an honest chance at making this roster next season.

Figured i would offer up another prospect update during the Christmas Break.
2023-12-28.PNG

Nothing too exciting over the past month. Most prospects have been putting up average numbers.

Ill touch on a few players below again.

- Lepain has fallen down the lineup for the Nat's as I expected when they added a bunch of players a couple of weeks into the season and has not been able to battle back up.

-Gerber was off to a hot start this season and has cooled off quite a bit. From a little over 1.3 PPG to start the year down to .60 PPG in his last 10.

-Woolley should be a full timer with the Knights, not sure what they will do if & when Mackinnon comes back, but I think he has earned his spot.

-Van Bommel appears to have been sent back down to Strathroy as he has put up 6 points in their last 4 games. Not sure if he will be staying there or coming back up to London.

-Moore has been the hottest London prospect over the past month, putting up 14 points in his last 8 games, While also leading the U17 hockey challenge with 12 points in 7 games. Typically the top couple of players from the u17 team get a chance to play with the u18 team after the Christmas break. Ill be curious to see Moore's production if he gets a chance against some NCAA competition.

-For the goalies, Medvedev has been struggling, however the stars are not a good team this year. Finn has been playing well, on a better team in a stronger league.

-The Americans as always would be a welcomed addition but you never know until they show up.

2023 7th round pick Cohen Bidgood of Chatham Maroons is showing excellent numbers for being picked at the #138 slot, anyone seen him play. What's the reports on his skating his ice vision his shooting and is he a winger or a cente, it be interesting tp know, he could be a dark horse with these kind of numbers, anyone have anything on this guy I am impressedr?

thoughts on tonight’s battle?
It's should not be like the last time they played them, hoping the Knights have more pride on who's ice surface they are playing in tonight and show Flint who owns these boards. And not like the last time the Firebirds came in here and bossed the Knights around in their own home building.
