Looks like we'll be without Halttunen, Cowan and Bonk for 6 more games. The team has really stepped up in their absence, and provided some entertaining hockey (esp. Julien, Gazizov, McCue).
Traditionally we always seem to step up when the “Bigguns” are at the WJC? Kinda weird but Dale seems to put a charge in there ass and gets the best out of what’s left behind? Fingers crossed it continues!

While he may not have the advantage of height, he's compensated by having and maintaining a compete level that his current coaches and teammates recognize. His injuries came at the worst possible time, and had he been completely healthy, that might have been the edge the Knights lacked in last season's Championship series.

He leaves some very big skates to fill at the Major Jr. A level, and is probably the reason I'm tending to feel our current netminders are simply adequate, as opposed to outstanding.

That is my feeling as well Purple but hopefully we’re wrong. I want to wish all a very Merry Christmas and am ready for Worlds and seeing the boys back in action.

Whats the best way to get tickets? Seems like all 3rd party sites are like $90+ a ticket (stubhub) and bud gardens site has like nothing in the lower bowl but individual seats. Am I missing something or do you need to buy tickets really far ahead?

Really need to buy ahead of time only gets worse after Christmas. I usually buy my seats for the year in August. Your best bet is to find a season ticket holder selling tickets

Facebook Marketplace, or any of the London buy and sell groups on Facebook. Generally there's a few season ticket holders selling at face value. Lower bowl should be $25/ ticket for season ticket holders.

Bonk, Cowan and Halttunnen have been a little quiet so far, but probably nerves

These are very deep teams and all three are young, 18 not 19…. They will not see top line minutes in the tournament as next year is their year to lead.

Of the 23 man roster 5 are 2005s and Celebrini the lone 2006. For context last year the only 18 year olds were Beck/Wright/Korchinski/ Fantilli, with Bedard the only underager.

You either have to be exceptional or you make the team and don’t play big minutes.

Halttunnen is not getting much ice time. Not on their PP. Hes got a fantastic shot but all other aspects of his game are average at best including skating. I hope Hunters can help him improve his overall game.

I don’t think we will see Hattunen back. I’m pretty positive he is a one and done. I think he could score 20-goals in the AHL and they can continue to develop him.
