I guess Dickenson got benched after his slashing penalty. It was dumb rookie type mistake. Yes the refs missed a punch to his head but you could hear the slash at our end of the rink. I thought all the young call up pups played well with ice time allotted. I this Dale thought so to as their time I think increased in the third. Will people get off Nichol’s back ffs. He is a rookie having played in what 30 games? I thought he is getting better each

Big goal by 4th line to tie it. I have been critical of #37 but he had a better game. I thought George was solid and Sudbury was trying to get under his skin. Glad the Knights had moment for Gabby!!

Knights need to accumulate approximately 60 points in the next 38 games

For what?

That's a .790 win %!

EDIT: you only have 36 games left, so 60 points in 36 is actually a .833 win %!

I really think all the all the hate MacKinnon is getting on here needs to calm down ... the guy is out with an injury and for him not to have played for as long as he has, it is a serious issue. I see a ton of bashing and people saying the Knights should cut ties with him. In previous years, there have been posters pleading with others to cut down the bashing of players. I am not seeing any of that when it comes to Mac.

There is a human side of things, Mac is obviously valuable to the team as he has been with then for 3 years and was kept as an OA, Dale and his staff obviously like what he brings to the table on and off the ice. I have also seen him as a leader on this team when he is out there, for example in a game last season after a player had served his fighting major, Mac was the first one to stand up and yell at all his teammates to get up and cheer as the player returned to the bench.

Anyway, all I am saying. Give the kid a break, he is obviously dealing with something serious, or he would be out there.

Same goes for McCue ... he has scored in 7 straight games and posters are still calling for his head, I guess that isn't good enough?

I am all for critiquing players and say what we think they can improve. But there is no need to bash, just for the sake of bashing.

Huge team win yesterday ( especially after not playing too well ) and spectacular to get 4pts out of 4 pts this weekend playing with that many full bucket guys! So nice to see Gaz finally playing with confidence, we always knew he ooozed talent and hockey IQ but was shy physically, hopefully this is the guy we continue to see down the stretch!

I fully see Woolley being on our playoff roster ala Bonk a few years ago, or heck they may even sign him full time if they are able at this point. Kid is a gamer all over the ice.

What if the Bruins send Matt Poitras back to Guelph imagine he be a good target at the deadline.

No one's hating a MacKinnon.....
All being pointed out is he's taking up a valuable spot in the line-up.
Some posters are to emotionally attached to him to release him to focus on school.
My point is with all his injury trouble are we willing to risk it to HOPE he can make it through a long playoff run I have my doubts.

The bashing of McCue is idiotic as he's producing it just kills certain posters to go and watch McCue Excell and still ragg on him game after game

IMO MM39 isn't worth the OA spot. Yes he's on a hot streak lately, but as a veteran, you have to lead by example and this player is prone to taking bad penalties at the worst time...case in point...yesterday he took a bad Checking to the Head penalty that ended up costing the go-ahead goal by Sudbury. Fortunately, we were able to capitalize late for the tying goal. He just can't be trusted and it will cost us in the long run. And when Cowan, Haltsy and Bonk are back, watch as 39's play goes from hero to zero as his playing time on the top line(s) decreases altogether. Trade him now that he's hot to maximize the return.
As for EM17, I wish him the best but it's also time to cut bait and free up that OA spot as it does not look like je will be returning anytime soon.

Guelph are 1 point behind the Knights in the standings and with Poitras they could very well outperform the Knights. Adding in a season where you're 4th in the conference heading into the break and the top 2 teams in the league (Kitchener and Soo), plus the Memorial Cup hosts are in the same conference is not really a wise choice. It's a sellers market and any player available you're going to have to outbid Kitchener/Soo/Saginaw/all the top teams in the East that could potentially only need to make the finals to go to the Memorial Cup.

Or...seeing as they are already in the top 4 in power rankings, and hoping to get Allen back soon who hasn't played yet this year, and have more picks available than all but one of the other top 4 teams, maybe they push all in?

You touched on a point I was wondering about last week. How many games does a player have to be in to count towards the Scholarship? Are the Knights trying to give Nathan an extra year of school? Spitballing.
