It's why I posted he lost me there lol.

All good. But the M2M D has to tighten up.

That is what I had thought haha. Mackinnon i find tends to wander without communicating that he is "switching" responsibilities. Mailloux is a risk taker, and does lead to offense. In a series like this with your backup in net, he is going to have to smarten up and take less risks and play some much better defence.

I can tell you that your eyes are deceiving you, not only can I tell with 100 percent certainty that they are playing man to man coverage. Multiple staff and players have said they have implemented a strict man to man coverage and have been using it most of the season and continue to do so. So I say this with the most possible respect, "You ain't got a clue" .

Not to sure that last time I have seen a team playing a zone defensive structure have their own deference follow a forward up to the blue line?

Video Below
0:45 - look how high Mackinnon is, he was chasing a forward high.

3:50 mark - Mackinnon tying man up down low, Mailloux covering his man by top of cirlce on same side of the ice. If this is a zone defence Mailloux is on the hashmarks on the opposite side of the ice as Mackinnon covering Limpar-Lantz.

Second Video

1 Second mark - Mailloux follows his forward high towards the high slopt....would never do that in a zone defence, your D man would very very rarely go above the hashmarks.

4:25 mark - watch George follow the forward at all times, even going up high again.
Ya so ! Broken up plays happens my friend !

Someone has to cover up for missed assignments, nothing in the couple films is unusual or prove anything at all, you can find zone D as well if really wanted to. I am sure you will see more of this kind on many other films as well, it does not mean they are fully committed man to man. it only shows it is employed from time to time to cover up for someone or the situation demands it at that particular moment and time. I am not seeing it but if you want to call it as you will man to man I don't care, heck I'll agree with you to cut the argument out I am not hard to get along, in the end game it's all useless if the intensity is not as high as their opponents

This post is pure speculation……I’m thinking Brochu starts tonight against the Sting ….. I believe Brett was kept out to give him some extra down time ….that’s giving him 5 1/2 days to rest his “lower-body injury”…… BUT…. if Zach gets his third straight game he brings his A game….. yes the sky is blue and lots of lollipops in my world……

Time for McGurn n Diaco to have themselves a game.
McC, Humphrey n Edward to get physical early. See if Pastu will shut down. He has really stepped up his game after Sarnia took the series home

Gazzy shows up! Beauty! Bowen looks good so far, badly outshot in the first 10min. He’s not over committed and seems relaxed. Very different from last two games. Defence has been shaky so far. It’s like they had to weather the storm and now chances are coming.
Something that is grossly missed is Brochu’s puck playing ability. The defence gets crushed on dump ins, making them head foot steps and give up passes too quickly. Interested to see how this plays out! GKG!

Could use a little O from Gaz tonight!

#15, channel it.

Ok I'll double down......the team could use 2 or 3 more from ya lol.

Sarnia is with a very wide attack, doreafinf out the team D. Get stickxms in lanes boyz.
ANd also pushing pucks to space and looking to be first. Anticipate this. You can see some players anticipating this. Gone over the video obviously.

It'll come down to those TOs and counter attacks.

Would like more effort in the nuetral zone, working back n being hard on the Cartier but easier said than done with Sarnias talent.

Bowen is actually playing the puck a bit tonight, is Bud Gardens ice surface bigger than Sarnias? Anyone know? It sure seems that way but maybe I’m wrong.

Not picking on him but I think Mailloux is a very risky prospect (speaking about on ice). Not impressed with his hockey IQ all year. Lots of physical ability but I don’t see an impact player at NHL level. Not that I know anything.
