This post is pure speculation……I’m thinking Brochu starts tonight against the Sting ….. I believe Brett was kept out to give him some extra down time ….that’s giving him 5 1/2 days to rest his “lower-body injury”…… BUT…. if Zach gets his third straight game he brings his A game….. yes the sky is blue and lots of lollipops in my world……

Bowen is starting as per the LFP article by Pyette.

Not to say they still couldn't pull a fast one, but I would say it's Bowen going tonight.

Regardless whos playing net tonight and the rest of this series the full London team has to show up to play if they want to move on. They can not have breaks in their play like they did in Sarnia. It's a full comlement of 20 players not just 12-14 players, everybody comes to play they will win even with Bowen in net. "Go Knights Go"

This might sound negative but unless a Healthy Brochu comes back, there is very little we can do to win this series. Sarnia is just too good. They play physical, fast, and can score. We are going to have to play two perfect games from our Goalie up to our Forwards to get two more wins. Brochu gives you a little more leeway to make some mistakes and take a few chances. We are just not a good enough defensive team to stop the Sting firepower.

Hopefully I am wrong of course!

Haven’t had a chance to watch any of the twoSarnia games because of shift work. Relax and give Bowen some slack. Sarnia loaded up and didn’t get to the finals of Western Conference because they sucked. Asking any 17 year old goalie to shoulder the blame for two losses as a visitor to opposing teams rink is bullshit. It takes all the team and it’s going to take all the team to win two out of three. Gaudreau was a first round pick #6 I think and he would have been set up for failure in same situation. The onus is on the whole team to suck it and play better. I think we win series if we play our game. I will be there in spirit Go Knights Go!

:thumbd: You are wrong! It takes a full team to win or lose....not just one player!

Brochu had games this season where he struggled too....not because of his ability, but because of the team in front of him.

The Knights played like crap in Sarnia (poor defense, lack of hitting, lack of forecheck, dumb penalties, giving Sarnia too much time and space)....Dale will have them ready to go tonight!

Posted it before.......but I think this game is more important to LK. Win and they have a CHANCE. Lose and I think the series is Sarnias.

Can't have a few individuals going. They need a couple lines going, creating, being a pain in the azz to play against.
DelM never leaves the ice so they gotta find a way to neutralize his ability to control play in the nuetral zone.
The 3rd line needs to get some OZone cycle time, the 26/86/7 n 16/14/ n whoever line need to create chances.
Too much free wheeling allowed to the Sting......maybe they can't stop it but to win they have to.

Would like to see McC, Edward etal need a couple big hits early on their skill Fs to see if they shy away ( pastu, voit specifically )

Still have Sarnia to win but cheering to be wrong. They are a solid team and LK has to find a way to impose their will. Tougher to do than to say. BS yapping n after whistle won't get it done. Attention to detail n commitment can.

The Knights did not play good hockey in game 1 at home. Game 2 they were a little bit tighter defensively but still not great. Brochu bailed them out big time, the shots were 14-1 with 6 minutes left in the 1st period and 3 or 4 of those were grade A scoring chances in game 1. Lets not pretend like it was a team win, yes we had a few timely goals but our defense was just as good in game 1 and 2 as they were in games 3 and 4. Someone just hides the blemishes better. Once again I am not blaming that other person at all you put words into my mouth.

Team still has a chance but odds are against them. Most had Sarnia in 5 or 6 (I agreed), so here we are.

Total nonsense !!

Bowen is due and he will beat Sarnia with the help of all his teammates, his team owes him a couple games !!

Bowen is due for a killer outing, he did not win 17 regular season games by just standing in his net, get him in the right set of mind and he'll beat anybody

I hope you are correct obviously, but your green and gold colored glasses are showing. Gaps are going to have to tighten up in the neutral zone, and we are going to have to play more of a zone style defense in our own zone clogging the cross ice passes and shooting lanes. I am not too sure we make these adjustment for game 5, but hoping we do. We are not going to win any 5-4 games against a team like Sarnia, we need to win the 2-1 games with a mistake free 60 mins. Just not sure this team is capable of doing that based on some of our D's decision making skills.

Zone defense and the 2-2-1 trap game has always been Dale success, can't see why they would change, so ya you are right they will play their (bread&butter) zone defense for sure. What has been missing lately is their level of intensity hasn't been up to par with Sarnia's

They have been playing a man to man defense for 90 percent of the season, and for all 4 games of this series. That is why you will see the D man start floating up high and chasing the forward "or their man" when they start circling up by the blue line. The have not played a zone defense at all this playoff run.

No sir, they played the man to man only on broken up and/or missed assignment by teammates, most of the time it's zone defense and trap

I can tell you that your eyes are deceiving you, not only can I tell with 100 percent certainty that they are playing man to man coverage. Multiple staff and players have said they have implemented a strict man to man coverage and have been using it most of the season and continue to do so. So I say this with the most possible respect, "You ain't got a clue" .

Not to sure that last time I have seen a team playing a zone defensive structure have their own deference follow a forward up to the blue line?

Video Below
0:45 - look how high Mackinnon is, he was chasing a forward high.

3:50 mark - Mackinnon tying man up down low, Mailloux covering his man by top of cirlce on same side of the ice. If this is a zone defence Mailloux is on the hashmarks on the opposite side of the ice as Mackinnon covering Limpar-Lantz.

Second Video

1 Second mark - Mailloux follows his forward high towards the high slopt....would never do that in a zone defence, your D man would very very rarely go above the hashmarks.

4:25 mark - watch George follow the forward at all times, even going up high again.

First of all, I never accused you of blaming anyone; however, you did say that the Knights wouldn't be able to win with Bowen in net. I guess people can interpret that however they choose.

Secondly, I'll admit they weren't perfect in Game 1, but they were a heck of a lot better overall in the first two games, than they were in Sarnia, and even better still in the Kitchener series. Since then, they seem to have been slowly drifting back into their old habits.

Anyway, I have confidence in the coaching staff to get them back to where they need to be (to beat Sarnia), and as a true Knights fan, I don't plan on giving up on them so easily.

They have the ability to win this thing, and I have faith in them doing so, with or without BB.
